Kings come out flying last week and the Crocs are 0-2 already after losing at home to Melbourne and then on the road Sunday in NZ. Playing 4 days later after that NZ game. They are 1-1 ATS so far and 2-0 to the over. With Kings offense shining first game, hard not to take the over in this game but will make a final decision a little closer to tip-off.BOL forum

Gotta say, this line of &#x2B;6.5 seems very strange considering the Crocs got &#x2B;11 vs the Breakers the other night in NZ. Very strange line especially after the Kings big win in Round #1

The Sydney Kings opened their season with showcase game against one of the League’s heavyweights, but they need to back it up tonight at the QANTAS Credit Union Arena against the Townsville Crocodiles.

The key factor for the Kings heading in Round 2 will be their consistency – an ongoing issue for the Sydney side, however their new roster brings hope to the Harbour City.

Last season consisted of a similar scenario – the Kings had won their opening game at home and were hosting a winless Townsville in Round 2. There is every chance history could repeat itself today, as last time the Crocodiles pinched the victory and went home happy that night.

The Kings have not won their opening two games of a season since they re-joined the League in October 2010.

It was little surprise that Townsville won at Sydney twice last season. In fact, they are the team that currently has the best winning streak of any club at the Kingdome, even better than the home side, and have won five of their past six games against Sydney.

This year might be different. Sydney showed star qualities last week by thumping Championship contender Cairns by 24 points – their biggest win at the Kingdome in five years, with the biggest swipe at the critics that assumed they couldn’t win without Josh Childress.

While Childress may still not suit up tonight, Julian Khazzouh showed his class with a dominant man of the match performance against the experienced Cairns front line that proved he will be a game changer for Sydney this season.

Jason Cadee also showed his pre-season shooting form was no fluke with a strong 19-points as a starter, but it was a true team effort with all nine contracted players scoring at least two field baskets each.

Townsville are in the second game of a lengthy road schedule that began on Sunday in Auckland. Their next stops are Cairns, Melbourne and Perth with no home game till Round 4, making it a challenge for the League’s youngest and least experienced squad.

Jordair Jett is the big addition to the Townsville guard rotation this year and he will get better as the season unfolds after recovering from long-term injuries, while Sydney native Mirko Djeric has had a great start to the year as the Crocs’ third leading scorer and leading three-point shooter.

To seal the win tonight, the Crocodiles will be looking to their leading man, reigning MVP Brian Conklin who led the scoring in all four games against the Kings last year.

No Josh Childress again this week for the Kings but that should again be no worries against a Crocs team that looked inexperienced and outclassed across the opening round. The Kings played near flawless ball against the Taipans with just seven turnovers and 49.2% shooting!! Loving that stat I am a bit biased as a kings fan haha... Also the Crocs should struggle to contain Khazzou, who was just beast mode on Saturday! Kings to cover and win big

Lean that way as well Timmow. The Kings have something to prove without Childress in the line-up. Crocs look lost and their shooting was appauling vs NZ in the first 5-7 mins of the 1Q. Khazzou was beasting the other night vs the Taipans thats for sure.

Crocs @ Kings: Over 164.5Can&#x27;t get over the fact that the Crocs have allowed 99 and 89 and with the way the Kings shot last week hitting almost 50% I think we see another high scoring game. Amazingly, the last 6 meetings vs each other has gone over this total and with the additions that the Kings have made this year, I think they are going to be an offensive machine. Really think this game has enough in it for both teams to combined for around 172 points.

Hawks @ Kings: Over 166.5Going back to the well for this play. Kings played the Caipans, game hit 150. Hawks played the Taipans, game hit 153 yet we get a total in the 160&#x27;s and 166.5 seems high right? Well I will play the over basing on the fact that the Hawks offense got rolling against NZ 3 nights ago hitting 95 and the Kings offense wasn&#x27;t that crash hot from the 2Q onwards 2 nights ago when they hit 77. Last season, when the Kings scored 79 or less at home, they bounced back with 93, 85, 89 &amp; 73. So will take my chances on both teams pushing the pace as I think that is what the Hawks will try and do based off their last performance against the Breakers.

Sorry Hawaiiboy396 I only just saw your post now mate, didn't play the last game as this Taipans team is not as strong as last season and dealing with some players that left during the off-season.
