NBL and WNBL Week #4

WNBL: 4-2

No WNBL games today which is strange. Very strange seeing that these girls dont play midweek but I see there is a Monday game.

Anyways, just the lone NBL game tonight, 36ers travel to NZ. NZ seem to be struggling a lot and not sure why Henare is playing Webster off the bench. One of the best shooters in the league, get him out there as much as possible. The total opened at 169.5 and is already 173.5 at some books. Looking into this game now, post soon.

Had a very bad beat for not buying the points.

A win can do you a lot of confidence. Yes, both these teams were 0-3 in their last 3 and both got wins earlier this weekend. Trice lit up the floor in Cairns for their big win vs Melbourne. The Hawks, well they still sucked even against a depleted Perth team. They still lack their usual offensive flow. I think Cairns defense can really knuckle down and frustrate the cr@p out of the Hawks tonight. Hawks aren't the same as last season missing Penney and Lisch, Harris and Clarke aren't in the same category this season and for some reason AJ is complete out of this team. Nowhere near as dominant as last. This line stinks as well, laying only -4 to a team that hasn't won a road game for a very long time. I think Cairns can snatch a win tonight but will take the points instead.

Thats right buddy, this team is pathetic on the road but their schedule has been pretty tough playing in Perth, Sydney and Adelaide. This Hawks team though Jasper is completely different to last season and I think Cairns need a win badly on the road if they want to make playoffs this year.

Its the NBL, where home court is massive for most teams. But every now and then, you will see a road team win S/U. This weekend, we haven't seen a road team keep it close at all apart from Perth with a depleted team. Cairns good win the other night, i think confidence is key for them

My take on the Boomers vs Rangers game is that I like the under a lot in this game. Rangers have been flying at home offensively but now can they do the same on the road? Will look further into it. 

That is definitely right mate, the WNBL teams can definitely win more games on the road compared to the NBL teams. When it comes to the WNBL, it really does come to the experience and talent the girls have on each team. Unlike NBA, these girls only play 1-2 games per week and every game counts and they aren't on big money, but if they perform well in the WNBL, that can give them exposure and make some decent money in China or Europe.
