Someone please give me a legitimate reason why the fuck this pie thrower is still in the team?

I feel like poking my eyes out everytime I see this guy offering buffet bowling to the opposing batsman.

And yesterday I heard an interview with Greg Chappell saying Johnson's batting is an important factor in his selection. The selectors can no longer use the excuse that bringing in someone like Bollinger for him will lengthen the batting tail. In his last 12 innings he has scored 6 ducks. And fuck me, it's the batsmen's job to score runs and the bowlers job to take wickets. When you start justifying a bowlers place in the team through his batting ability you know you are completely fucked.

Some players seem to get the golden spoon treatment whereas others like Brad Hodge are thrown to the dogs

From a betting perspective, it's good. We want shit like Johnson, North etc to stay in the team.

They select him because they think he's dangerous and hold out hope he can have one of his once in a blue moon spells ala perth two seasons back.

Someone like Harris has taken 4 wickets in the shield game and is taking them at will.

IMO, there's one person responsible for Australia's doom and that's Johnson. Whilst bowlers do a good job at one end, this useless sack of shit gives the batsman a revival down the other end.

I agree. They select him for what he might do. Unfortunately, the guy is so erratic that his 'ordinary' performances are terrible.

He should be dropped for Bollinger. Harris should go close to getting a call up too. Hilfenhaus hasn't seemed to be stretching out fully to me.

Drop North from the side, drop Watto down to 6 and put Hughes in at opener. It looks like Watto will need to do a lot of bowling, so take the pressure off him opening.

Doherty should stay, simply because there is no one else.

If Harris is in the XI, it will be tempting backing Australia to win. He's the only current bowler in Australia that can put England under pressure consistently.

It will be a road in Adelaide so will look at the draw. Want it to fluctuate out past 8 bucks again. Doubt it will though as both teams will put up 400+ in their first innings.
