I get in on this every year and came up very big last year with Fakih as she struck me as a winner from the get-go. This year I'm rolling with:
10u on CAL at 9:2 odds 7u on SC at 6:1 odds 3u on HI at 12:1 odds
They're both the biggest standouts and will be my big bets, as I feel they'll both easily be in the top 5. May take a chance with a few long shots also.
Hawaii is gorgeous and my personal fav. https://i55.tinypic.com/2cxgshg.jpg

Be very weary of judging the girls by glamor shots alone... Watch their interviews on youtube and look for videos of them walking, etc. Also height can make all the difference in the world at this level of competition. If a girl is 5'4 or 5'5 I'd be very cautious of betting on them.
Angela Byrd (Hawaii) is 5'10" so I think she is a strong contender.

Ive been hitting long shots like crazy the past few months so i thought i would give this a try, although its much easier to pick the winner after you see the girls on stage. The winner usually has a glowing presence about her.... Nailed Animal Kingdom in the Kentucky Derby( with 2 other horses to win), nailed Ruler on Ice at 25-1 ( with one other horse to win), took Rory and Bubba Watson to win the US Open so my long shot picks have been hitting at a high clip.
Texas at 22-1 Alabama 15-1 California 4.5-1

More I research on her (research haha) the more I believe she's going to win. Might end up replacing my Texas pick w/ her. Hawaii/Connecticut are solid picks as well at +800 and +4000.
Miss California is freaking unbelievable

Didn't California trip on stage during the gown prelims? She doesn't look like she has the poise on the stage, well not the poise of a +400 favorite in a competition like this is way too short.

Hopefully CA will have the nerves out after the trip. Anybody happen to know the last ginger to win the crown? Thanks for the videos Jay Rod- SirChadWick brought up a god point. HI is a tall girl, and they tend to have the look advantage. Its usually up to the height to lose it as they have a dominate presence on stage.

Haha.. tripping doesn't carry to much weight. Rima tripped last year when I had a bet on her to win it all and I said to myself "sh*t, oh well... there goes my cash." And whatta ya know... she wins!
