Yep Andy looked absolutely spent at the end of the race.

Stage 14 is Contador's last chance but based on what I have seen he doesn't have the legs to accelerate in the mountains.

Sorry when I say last chance, I mean if Contador thinks he can wait to the Alps to attack he is in serious trouble

he may, but today proved that this year is different from the past few.  andy and contador sucking wind while cadel and frank and sammy finish ahead of them.  that NEVER happened in years past.

Andy is over a minute behind Cadel, if you include the time trial.

Cadel will likely be able pull away from Andy, during that final test.

For Andy to be safe, he needs to attack Cadel.

No, but I doubt it will matter after stages 18 & 19.

He's one determined little dude. Have to give him credit. It's setting up beautifully for Andy. Alberto doesn't feel 100% or have the team to help his cause. Cadel doesn't have a big enough lead on Andy  and is going to lose serious time this week.

Sammy for the win (Would been real funny though if Vockler came out of nothing and won the GC with all the talk about the Schlecks and Contador in the last month or two... )

you really think this is setting up beautifully for andy?  have you been watching the same tour?  the schleck boys are panicking.  they couldn't even drop peraud, uran, or rolland yesterday...much less cadel, contador, sanchez, basso, and voeckler.  unless something drastic changes, they might not even make the podium.
and they are not waiting til this week to make their moves.  they made their moves and it's not working.  not to say it won't work, but they are NOT sitting pretty right now.

You clearly have not been watching the tour or you are just basing your opinions on the stage results.

The Schleck brothers are struggling especially with their tactics. They had a chance to finish off the Pistol in Stage 12 and Stage 14 but couldn't when he was clearly struggling. Now as we head into the 3rd week in the Alps, this is where Contador usually shows he is the strongest when all the other riders start to tire.

Also Evans is looking particularly strong, all he has to do is cover Schleck's moves in the Alps and if he does and Contador fails to show form he will be with a yellow jersey in Paris.

The French media are ripping into the Leopard Team after the Stage 14. They may have the strongest team but they are clearly the dumbest when it comes to the tactical side of cycling.

Both the Schleck brothers lack the killer instinct. They show plenty of arrogance for a couple of riders who have won absolutely nothing of note in the sport of cycling

Guess I'm watching the same Tour as the oddsmakers who have Andy as the betting favourite.

just b/c he's 2:1 right now doesn't mean he's sitting pretty, as you stated. so is cadel (2:1), but he's not sitting pretty either.  no one is, except maybe voeckler.  i know you wouldn't bet andy at 2:1 right now....at least i hope you wouldn't.

can't believe voeckler is 10:1 still.  that's worth a small play imo.

of course he has a shot, but he probably won't win...unless he continues to dope.

i would put my money on cadel and voeckler at the current odds.  even contador at 4:1 looks pretty good imo.
