It's a real momentum test this one. Wickets falling in spurts, long parternships ect. Reckon Australia wouldn't want anything less than a 400 run lead in the bank, cos the pitch looks really good and mightn't deteriorate as much as a normal 5th dayer.

Ok, South Africa is just about to produce the second highest successful run chase (18 needed as I write this), fair enough, records are there to be broken ect, but I'm quite stunned at the ease with which the Saffers will do this.

 

I mean, one thing you always expect from Australia is that they'll make something happen in these situations. They'll dry up the runs or someone will produce a great spell and really turn the screws on the opposition. They may not always win, but they'll make it tough as shit for the opposition to get across the line.

 

But this bowling attack just doesn't appear to have that in them.

 

I reckon Australia is gonna really need the batsmen to fire over the next few years because (Mitchell Johnson aside) the bowling stocks look pretty barron.   

I have the solution to Australia's BIG 3 failures.

 

(1) Hayden NEVER faces the 1st delivery. Never with LANGER, GILCHRIST OR JACQUES. Has been lately and failing.

Get rid of KATICH simple ..........or don't face up is another option. Can't do any harm.

(2) PONTING has been the greatest run scorer for a couple of years. Ever since meeting wife and getting married. THEN came along the baby and the runs and decisions have been going downhill.

Put the kid up for adoption........or send to the cricket academy whilst you finish your career and take care of the South Africans.

(3) LEE has been going shit house ever since his missus left him.......... for fucks sake BINGA ring WARNIE. Meet him for lunch and remember to take your phone and a fist full of dollars.

 

If these fail...........make SYMONDS Captain and Coach. Get back on the piss before and after a game. Get on the piss and party for training. IT HAS WORKED WELL IN THE PAST.
