I agree (and wrote about it in my thread) but that still doesn't change the breaks the Nucks got a long the way.

Maybe, but the Canucks were dominated in a few of those games and were very lucky to win them...also, the argument of Team A is better than Team B and Team C is better than Team A, so Team C will easily beat Team B is stupid and only a fool would make a wager based on that theory.

I made a write up of why I'm taking the Canucks. An people saying Canucks got out played by San Jose in a couple of those games...ok . Boston got out played by Tampa in 4 of the 7 games. Boston wasn't lucky to win game 5, plz.

I haven't made a wager yet, letting the Nuck players keep knocking that line up. And I never said he would stop them by himself.  You said he wouldn't make a difference and I say he will.

That's not the point...the point is, you can't make the assumption that just because Canucks beat Sharks they will beat an "inferior" Bruins squad easily. Every team plays each other differently and the Bruins match up against the Canucks better than the Sharks do.

I'm not saying the Bruins will win, I think the Canucks pull it out in 7, but anyone laying -240 on them to win the series is borderline insane.

Lipps do think it would be maybe safer betting BOS game by game. I mean +176 on the road isn't too bad and BOS has to win atleast one game in VAN to win the cup. They might be close to even money at home. Are you betting it game by game and the series? I guess what i'm saying is even if they don't win it all you could still make out OK with the $$

Oh yeah, take them game by game just as long as you don't chase and keep it at 1 unit each wager.  I will take them on the series but wager it for much more.

Think the B's might edge up to the +215 range, but not sure if I will chance it more than that.  B's money should be hitting very soon.

Ya I'm not saying I'm taking the  Canucks because they beat the  Sharks in 5. I'm taking them because they have the edge in every area of the game, boston has no speed , no power play, out classed. just read my write up it explains it.  Good luck with your plays everyone. Just don't get I'm the fool for laying -240 on the series when  you still think the Canucks win..An I have yet to see a legit breakdown of this series by a poster on why the Bruins can win an where they have edge. Plz someone make one.

Oh that's quite easy and quick. For the B's to win Thomas just has to stand on his head and the B's have to stay out of the box. That's the only way. Oh and maybe if Luong reverts back to his former playoff self, but this year it doesn't look like he will.

Because both teams playing thier best is advantage to the 'Nucks almost down the line, sans goaltending

I give the B's about a 40% chance of winning the series.  But where the payback is +200 or a bit more that's enough value for me to take them.

Anything is possible, TT could just stand on his head like he has done before. The B's could actually play no penalty hockey like they did last night and keep it 5 on 5.  Boston has to grind these games, keep the SOG in the low 30's.  Clog up the middle big time.

The West is full of teams that fly from end to end to get scoring chances as opposed to the east where it is a half ice game and you are looking at 3 or 4 tape to tape passes in the offensive zone to get your goal.  And I also see the B's getting real physical on the 'Nucks forwards to get them off thier game.

i thought books were showing some confidence in nucks last round at -160...now they have -231? in the finals against a 3rd seed?

seems like they are wanting you to take boston, if for nothing else than value

I think they are over reacting because they know the gambling public will blindly follow the big fave as usual.

I would have to try and find the Philly and Chicago line. Give me some time tonight and I will search for it.

No over reaction.  Public is liking Boston a lot more than you think.

No but its a good indication that the general public thinks Boston is about even with Vancouver.

More "bets" on Boston  in game 1 than van, that's for sure.

You'll never get the true facts about who's betting who but you can get a feel for perception.

I agree with Polar- Nucks may win the series- but no sweep. 
So it makes sense to play the B's since they will most likely give best value game per game. 
I'm going to start small and just double down until B's hit a Win.
