All kinds of factors and angles in this one. Oiler Pros:
Oil revenge and hungry. Conner goes all out beast mode. no more tears this time, Leon gets into the series. Home ice. Playing very well with less games to get here than last season. the cats have played a LOT of hockey. home ice? is that a thing?? maybe..
Oil cons: Hyman is a great loss. {bad} can Kane stay focused and stay out of the box? does Conner try too hard and risk injury? And the Elephant in the room is Skinner.
To me the series is on this guys shoulders. In my opinion (yep we all have one) The oilers will have to play very good defense and suppress shots to have a shot at this. I think they can. They know it.
Panther Pros: They are experienced and they've been there. 3 years in a row to the cup final. Superior Coach. A couple of savvy assholes to be their asshole selves. They are playing great hockey. It's never easy getting out of the east. great playoff road record. I'll take Bob all day long over Skinner.
Panther Cons: Not much. A lot of hockey, yeah. mcdavid going superhero maybe, but not likely.
For me the goal tending is the key here.
My money is on the Cats.
