Tonight I am against the world thinking that the lowly Capitals can pull one out of their hats tonight. Even though they lost last night the final score doe not indicate the quality of their play. They out-shot Toronto 37 to 17 but were let down by their goal-keeper who allowed 4 shots to go in = 2 of which came on the power plays. Tonight they give their back-up goalie Hunter Shepard a chance to make his 1st start of the year. Although Shepard did not look impressive in the exhibition games, he has plenty of motivation to impress  tonight. Shepard did have a stellar record when he was in goal for the minor league Hershey Bears. The Devils will counter with their back-up Akira Schmid. He has given up 4 goals in each of his starts this year. I just think this game has been overpriced due to the sluggish start that the Capitals have had so far this season. Win or lose === I think there's value in taking

Big slate of games but I can't find enough value to may a wager. The only thing that may be close is the lowly Sharks who are catching a big number in Tampa. I made Tampa -240 & there are + 250's around. I hate to bet on horrible teams so even though I think there is a very small edge in the Shark side & can't pull the trigger. Tomorrow is another day. BOL with your wagers.

Tonight I'm taking my chances on the Under in the Sabres-Devils game. I made the total 6.5 so if Vegas is giving me an extra half goal, I'm signing up. The Sabres are usually not a high goal scoring team on the road & of the last 40 games played between these 2 teams on the Island. The Under has hit 28 of 40 times.

I'm going to try and break out of my mini-slump with the obvious tonight. Who knocked out the front running Bruins of the play-offs in round 1? That would be these same Florida Panthers. So I'll bite.

This is a very hard statistic to ignore, and when the Ducks have been in this situation in they past, they are 11-1 to the Under.

For some reason the trend was not allowed to be posted. Maybe it's because it was in Bold Letters. I'm not sure.

It stated that over the last 30 years, West coast teams coming home from an extended road trip. Played to a total that was a goal lower than the average game played. 2.7 to 2.5 ==== Compared to 3.8 to 3.4 average total goals scored. That's it.

Flyers + 145    1 Unit   ===== I know Hart is out but the line has become an over reaction to his backup IMO. The Flyers actually outplayed Buffalo in their loss on Wednesday. A great disparity in SOG.
