No swaying here. I like the Capitals tonight. The Caps have won both meetings this season and only need a few points to clinch the Eastern Conference. The Pens are a tough team but have had problems of late. Malkin being banged up does not help and you have got to wonder if the Pens wanna risk grinding him in these last few weeks knowing the playoffs are around the near corner. Yes the Pens are trying to win a division and will play hard. I just think that the Caps are a beast right now and the Pens don't have the guns to slay the beast. My guesstimate is Washington 4-3.

I know I sound insane but I seriously think that the Rangers will not only catch but pass the Flyers for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They face Philly in a H&H the L-2 games of the season. The Rangers can easily jump ATL who has a rough schedule ahead of them and is going nowhere. Yes the Islanders have won both games this season at the NYR and 5 of the L-7 there but the Islanders are a bad road team and have now lost 10 of thier L-11 road games. How they won in Vancouver 5-2 recently is beyond me. That's the Canucks failures in a nutshell. The Isles are 4-6 since the break but have lost thier L-2 after a 3 games winning streak. The Rangers are just 3-7 since the break and 0-3 recently scoring just 5 goals in those 3 losses. I must be nutz but like the Rags here. My guesstimate is NYRangers 2-1.
Montreal at Buffalo - 03/24/2010
This game just reeks of UNDER. The Habs have has there heels cooled off after a hot streak coming outta the break. Buffalo has been on a short winning streak(3-0) and finsihed 3-1-1 on this last road trip. Buffalo is 3-0-1 this season vs the Habs and has won the L-3 overall. The Sabres have also won 4 of the L-5 at home vs the Habs and 6 of the L-7 overall vs Montreal. After winning 7 of thier first 8 games outta the break, the Habs are 0-1-1 in thier L-2 games. Buffalo is 6-4-1 since the break and 6-2-1 in thier L-9 but is just 2-2 at home since the break. They have not been home since a 2-3 loss to MIN on 03/12/2010. Miller for the Sabres has given up only 6 goals in the L-3 games after being pulled for giving up 3 goals in 6 minutes during Buffalo's last lost, a 3-4 game at Atlanta. My guesstimate is Buffalo 3-2.
St.Louis at Detroit - 03/24/2010
The Blues are one of the NHL's best road teams at 22-11-4 but is just 11-8 in 2010. They are 6-2 on the road since the break and 4-2 in thier L-6 road games. The Blues have not won 3 straight road games since 12/2009 when they did it twice during that month. Detroit is looking for it's 3rd straight win overall and recently won 3 in a row overall, thier first such streak since 12/2009 when they had a 4 game win streak. Tonight they get Detroit who is on a 8-2-0-1 run since the break and is 5-0-0-1 in thier L-6 games. The Blues have owned the Wings this season and is 3-0-0-1 vs them. This includes a 2 game sweep in Sweden to start the season. The Blues won 1-0 at Detroit on 12/09/2009 and lost to the Wings 3-4(SO) on 02/09/2010 in St.Louis. The Wings are 20-10-5 at home this season and 4-2 since the break. My guesstimate is Detroit 3-2.

The Canucks are 26-8-2 at home but have lost 2 of thier L-3 there and are only 1-2-1-0 in thier L-4 games overall. I will hope for a quack attack tonight. My guesstimate is Anahiem 3-2.
