when in doubt ALWAYS go with the underdog.....they seem to always play harder and make less mistakes.

Pens miss a physical presence who is not a liability when on the ice?   Although I do prefer Laroque to Goddard (who is useless also) for teh reason that when talbot or kennedy or anyone else fed him the puck behind the net he could run through a cycle and draw faceoffs.  Godard can't stand up long enough.

As much as I would love to see a 3-3...I dont think the Fish Sticks score again...Hopefully the Pens can put up a few here for my over 6

I hear you.  Not enough guys around who can "protect" stars and still avoid mistakes (at least). It just seems absurd when four Islanders feel they can take shots at Malkin with impunity.  Crosby's fed up with it too.

That I agree with but that does not need to come from a "fighter".  If they did not have the instigator penalty, laraoque would have value.  As it was no one fought him so what benefit did he serve.

Of course I am bised, but I think the "interference/boarding/charging" type calls are no where enforced like they were two years ago and even last seaon.

I wonder how much the intimidation factor has played into the frustration on the Pens... I know Therien was not a popular coach, but maybe the GM should be taking a bit more of the heat too...

He deserves some or how the roster is constructed, but I did not think Therien was a long term coach for the nucleus they had.
