November Overtime Picks

ScroopyNoopers, we all have our own ways to play. Somedays mine might be better and other days someone else does better. There is so much an element of luck in this game that sometimes. Anyway I looked at the Philly game and also thought overtime was written all over it, but i decided to go against back to back OT's. Thanks so much so your insight.

So currently with 284 games played so far 58 games have gone into overtime or 20.42% which is a little lower than I expected but still ok.

In order to break even at +2.8 I would have to win 26.32% of my selections. Even though this is still a very small sample it shows that I have correctly chosen 11 of 29 picks or 37.93%. Still need a larger sample tho.

So I just checked this for the last few days and I applaud you sir whatever you’re doing don’t change. My only advice, as if I have unlimited lol, but my only advice now is you can’t bet enough draws. If you have 2 or 6 picks and you have 1 or 2 maybes…take the maybes overall the maybes will make profit and on the bad days for your confident picks, your maybes will save the day. Good luck other than that you said you don’t like streaks for OT and I don’t see why that matters and believe that streaks is a good luck sign(I used to believe strongly in betting all OT games to go to OT again but don’t follow that anymore) ok enough cluttering of your thread good luck 

Thanks Scroopy. I was thinking of refining what I was doing but then I saw my hit rate was good enough. Don't change that. As for maybes to hit for me is something else I was thinking, but still tracking.

68 OT games out of 316 games=21.51%.  Target is 23%, so the NHL is 4.7 games below target.

I think just before this last good run NHL was about 10 games below target.

I really need to start tailing your draws lol I also went 1-1 yesterday but would’ve been nice to go 2-2. I’m on them all today and it’s not just cause, I actually have them all going. Food for thought both of us have had perfect days 3/3 and 2/2 a parlay of 3 draws is +7000 makes me consider robining draws today lol but I would do 2s which is only +1600 a robin of 1 dollar per leg(6) if all 4 hit would be $102 but this is crazy talk especially cause draws will go cold for a few days to a week eventually which will put a dent in the profit but who knows maybe we will ride them out with only minor cuts and bruises this has been the first season that I’ve actually made a profit in draws to this degree

Yes November has hit at a great rate. We will see how it plays out. I think it could get cold as well. As for tonight, yah I think tonight has 3 OT games, with Buffalo being the exception. so I have a side bet with my pick and my two Maybes. So I took CAR@MIN+EDM@WSH+BOS@ANA for a +5779

For a full unit!? I can’t believe you actually are going for it. At least Robin it for 3 picks in case only 2 hit. Am I the cause of this lol I’m a safe bettor but I guess nothing ventured nothing gained. What are your thoughts on Sj/la tomorrow going the distance. I have La in reg at the moment but may cancel it, Sj scares me this season especially for a reg only, they have gone to overtime 8/20 which is flipping 40% and same goes for La 40% draw rate this season argh I may switch it to a -1 bet instead of reg only so I can still get the push if it goes to OT

I’ve just checked my book after seeing this thread. Every game is at $4 or better to go to OT. So obviously I’m trying them all tonight as just one is break even minimum

LOL No not a full Unit. Just a side bet on its own. You never know. I am looking at LA@SJ. That game has me with LA win 3-2 and a strong maybe for OT. If they don't go into OT the for sure LA would probably hit their next game, and SJ probably within 1 to 2 games. Anything can happen tho it is amazing how much luck comes into play. The long run will tell how good we are LOL. 

Yes been great in November so far. I had never tried OT games before so giving it a go. Hope we all cash.

This guy… keeps on winning at impossible odds. Incredible sorry for straying you though I do believe maybes are profitable overall, almost had Bo’s/ana tied with 3 mins left and Edm/was was a 1 goal game before the empty netter against Edm who has been a beast at tying it up late this year to get the OT win. Onward and wayward

19 wins 22 losses. = 46.34% win rate. I can't imagine that that rate is sustainable, but if it is I will have a great year.
