I will be posting all of my plays this season on this ONE particular thread. I do NOT post anywhere else and the only reason why I feel I need to state this is because I know others have copied my plays, and name actually, on other sites which is rather pathetic but too each their own.
Background: Basically was new to the gambling world until about 5-years when I got into it and had a very successful season where I finished the season up over 115-units. (I do single, double and triple unit plays) After probably getting a bit over cocky and putting to much into selections I've had 3-yes 3- consecutive losing years in which I have lost way more than what I had ever won that ONE season. I have at one time charged for my picks which I know will generate some negative comments but o'well, it was something I decided to do and don't regret it at all.
Season starts up this upcoming Thursday and I personally can't wait as I know the game of hockey will become the sport to be watching this season as the NBA will be most likely cancelling their season....SO yes ESPN, you will have to show more than 2-min of hockey highlights this season!!
I look forward to having a successful season and hopefully everybody will be benefit from all of the information that is/will be shared on this thread and others!

I think the bigger question is where did you find a book that lets you bet on last years game? Mine only has lines for the 2011-12 season lol All jokes aside, good luck to you. Lets all cash in this glorious hockey season

Here are my future selections for the season: Good luck, no need to write on all of them as to why I selected them
Point Totals:
Anaheim UNDER 95.5 -115 Boston UNDER 102.5 -115 Calgary UNDER 90.5 -130 **Double Unit** Colorado OVER 75.5 -125 **Double Unit** Florida UNDER 83.5 -125 LA KIngs OVER 102.5 -115 ***TRIPLE UNIT*** This team will be legit contender this season to come out of the west. NY Rangers OVER 95.5 -105 ***Triple Unit*** With both Richards and Gaborik both on the same team w/ Lundqvist backing you up, you have a great chance to FINALLY get over the hump...If they can stay healthy, this is the closes thing to a sure thing that I can see. The ONLY thing I am somewhat concerned with is the possibility of a lag at the beginning of the season following their season opener in Sweden followed up by a western swing. They play their first 7 on the road so if they can start out w/ 8-points on this trip they will get over this number. Philadelphia OVER 98.5 -115 Phoenix UNDER 87.5 -115 ***TRIPLE UNIT*** The coyotes will be taking several steps back this season and I'm sure re-location talks will only make matters worse for this team. Pittsburgh UNDER 100.5 -115 **Double Unit** St. Louis OVER 92.5 -105 ***Triple Unit*** The Blues should be in the play-offs this season if they can stay remotely healthy. This team played extremely well last season up until some injuries took their toll on this team....Don't forget Halek! Vancouver UNDER 106.5 -115 **Double Unit**
Division Selections:
Central- Detroit +175 **Double Unit** Wings will continue to be a regular season dominant team. Howard will only continue to grow as a goaltender and I'm not expecting much from the Blackhawks this season as I feel their goalie situation will be in trouble.
Northwest- Vancouver -500 (No Play)
Pacific- LA Kings +375 **Double Unit** Not sure I can say this is going to be a surprise but when you have the Sharksin your division I guess it will be. The Kings are a pretty youthful team and will grow on last season's success. This team started out extremely hot last season before hitting a wall mid-way thru. I'm not expecting that to happen this season as the Kings are for real and will be raising some eye-brows in the hockey world this year.
Atlantic- NY Rangers +400 This division is a toss-up and you can compare it to the Yankee, Ray, Sox division in baseball. You easily have 3-teams (Rangers, Flyers and Pens) that could take this division and much depends on who can stay or in the Pens case get healthy!! I'm a Ranger fan so I will stick w/ them as they will have a very offensively exciting team this year and have a top 3-goalie backing them up...GO RANGERS!
Northeast- Buffalo Sabres +250 This one as well is a near toss-up but feel the Sabres will be the ones coming out on top. Not worth anything but your smallest of wagers at best here.
Southeast- Washington -525 (No Play) Look at all the issues the Caps had last year and yet they still won this division. I don't see Tampa being as close as last season unless they make some sort of back-up goalie change as they will be needing to give Roloson some old-age days off to keep him fresh for the play-offs.
Eastern Conference:
Washington +285 Philadelphia +400 NY Rangers +975
Western Conference:
Vancouver +200 LA +975
Stanley Cup:
Washington +525 NY Rangers +2000
Hope these will help some of you if you happen to be on the fence w/ any possible selections.
Best of Luck!---Luck is always needed when it comes to these!!
Day 1 picks coming later tonight!!

Philadelphis Flyers +125 **Double Unit** The Flyers will be much stronger this season defensively and in this game I'm expecting the Bruins to be distracted w/ the pre-game events that will be great for them and the fans of Boston. Flyers win this one taking advantage of the situation, how many points will Jager get? I'll say 2!
Penguins/Canucks Over 5.5 +100 **Double Unit** Penguins and Canucks get this season started off w/ a very entertaining game up in Vancouver. I'm expecting a pretty wide open game and I don't have much faith in Luongo who will struggle I feel this season as the Canucks have some injuries...look for the flood-gates to open :(

Good Start to the season 2-0 +4.25 Teams: 1-0 O/U: 1-0
Friday 10-7-2011
Ducks/Sabres Under 5.5 -110 **Double Unit** Both teams will be feeling each other out for at least the first period as they are in unfamiliar territory w/ the fans and arena as this game is being played over in Finland. Both Miller and Hiller are top notch goaltenders as well so everything in my book points to an under in this one.
Tampa Bay +100 **Double Unit** Expecting the Lightning to start off the season extremely hot after last years conference finals exit. Tthey have the offense that most teams dream of and will be able to pick apart the Canes and Ward in this one. Carolina is improved this year, however they are not in the upper echelon of teams like the Lightning are.
Dallas +110 I'll bite here on this one. I feel the Stars are a much improved team however it may take sometime for them to jell so we are just playing this as a single unit.
Good Luck!

Tampa/Boston Under 5.5 -105 **Double Unit** This rematch of last season's conference championship I'm assuming will be very low scoring. It seems like these early season games are tending to go in that direction
Philadelphia -120 ***Triple Unit*** Some are expecting the Devils to be a fairly decent team this season, I do not however. Brodeur is getting old and is letting in more weak goals than usual. The Flyers are going to be there at the end and am expecting them to exploit NJ's weaknesses.
Colorado +115 Detroit could have been perhaps just going thru the motions late in the game last night but they looked a bit tired IMO. With the youthful Avs the home ice will come into play in tonights game.
San Jose -1.5 +160 **Double unit**

Montreal/Winnipeg UNDER 5.5 -115 **Double Unit** This game should be a great one to watch w/ the NHL coming back to Winnipeg. I think players will be a bit tentative and with Montreal having one of the better goalies I'm thinking this one stays under. I actually lean towards Montreal as well but am just sticking w/ the Under.
Edmonton +115 **Double Unit** Pittsburgh takes a step back tonight w/ their 3rd game in 4-nights to open the season. Oilers have a very young group of players that will I feel have the legs where the Pens might start to wear down.

You bet on Vancouver to win the western conference, as well as have under 106.5 points?
Otherwise, pretty solid reasoning and plays! BEst of luck sir!
I feel like the Canucks will win their division BUT did NOT take them personally as I would never lay the -500. I did however take them to be under the 106.5 point total for the season which could still win that division. We'll see come April how my thinking goes.
Tough loss on the Under in the Winnipeg game as it looked good going into the 3rd but w/ 4-goals in that period we lose the selection...Can't win them all, at least the Oilers came thru in a very entertaining game I thought.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you Canucks out there and thanks for having this holiday that brings us morning games down in the states! :)
Avs/Boston Under 5.5 -115 **Double Unit** Look for the Avs to possibly get shut-out again in this game as I'm expecting them to basically be sleep-walking thru this game. Bruins should win this one fairly easily and most likely by at least 2-goals for you -1.5'ers out there. Bruins 4-1 as they will go into a defensive styled game after getting up a couple.
NY Islanders -120 **Double Unit** Islanders I feel are a decent team and will hopefully bounce back in this game vs the Wild who surprised me w/ the 'W' on opening night. I just don't think the Wild are very good this season.
St. Louis +110 (Regulation Time) **Double Unit** Blues bounce back at home w/ a win over the lowly Flames in regulation.
I will possibly have more later this afternoon. Good Luck!

I have small action on the CBJ, O5.5 in Tampa/Washington game and also a bit on Washington in Regulation but no more posted plays....I'll take the 3-0 morning and call it good.
See you all tomorrow and thanks for the compliments, hope you cashed!

Light night on the ice tonight w/ just two games in hand. I have the following selections:
Pittsburgh +100 **Double Unit** (REGULATION TIME) Pittsburgh is w/o Malkin and naturally Crosby for the game tonight. I still feel however that the Pens are a solid team as they showed last year that they are able to win w/o their top 2-forwards. I like the price on this selection as the Pens still have the edge offensively and also in between the pipes w/ Flower. ---For those of you that are unaware, you can usually find the 'Regulation Play" either under "PROPS" or "3-WAY"
Minnesota +110 I don't think much of either team (playing Ottawa) but the Wild have looked fairly decent in their first two games. This is the home opener for the Sens but w/ Backstrum slated to start for the Wild I'll take them coming off a tough loss vs the Isles yesterday morning-afternoon.
Good Luck!

Another light night w/ only 3-games slated for the evening, all 3-starting w/in the hour.
Avs/Jackets Under 5.5 -120 ***Double Unit*** Avs are having a very difficult time scoring but thankfully they are getting great goaltending from Varlamov who came over from the Caps during the off-season. Jackets generally are not a high-scoring team either so I'm confident in saying this will be a very low-scoring game.
Philadelphia Flyers +120 ***TRIPLE UNIT*** (Regulation Time) Kinda like this color thing :) So in my mind the Canucks are a good team, but are nowhere near as good as last season especially w/o Kesler who is still recovering from hip-surgery. I'm a former goalie myself and let me just say that I don't think Luongo is very good...He's HUGE, but not good and teams are simply throwing the puck at the net and are scoring!! Flyers should win this game and I'll be taking them personally on the -1.5 as well for a small play.
Carolina +115 **Double Unit** A bit of a surprise here that the Canes would still be looking for their first win after 3-games. Look for the Canes to come out fired up for this one vs the defending Cup Champions. The Bruins are clearly the better team, however the better team does not always win and this will hopefully be the case in tonight's match-up. I just feel that the Canes will be ready and focused for this one and will come away w/ the 2-points.
Good Luck!
