I was originally going to only accept NHL fights but there have been some good ones submitted already from the AHL and other leagues and since we're looking for the Top 5 Hockey Fights of all time, I will allow submissions from any league as long as it's Ice Hockey.
I've edited the rules to reflect this change.
Thanks and keep the fights coming!

In the new NHL where people don't fight out of their "weight class"....I really miss Tie
Chris Simon is a good friend of mine and I remember him telling me about that fight. He said Domi had one of the hardest heads. I think all those tough guys had respect for each other back then. That was one great fight.

An NHL in-game square-off that earns nothing but a disturbing the peace violation--each player was given a 10 min misconduct ONLY--is not a fight, although a nice idea

This fight came at a time when i believe hockey reached its peak. I still love the game more than ever today but back around 97 with the Redwings and Avs teams hating each other this was some of the most intense hockey I've ever seen. Both teams having incredible lineups with Steve Y, Shannhan, Federov, Draper, Malbty, Lindstrom, Vernon Forsberg, Sakic, Foote, Lemieux, Roy
Those were the glory days and can be kinda compared to seeing the Pens and Caps face off now.
But this fight stood for a lot Claude put that dirty hit on Draper from behind and Darren pounded him into submission. Then here Claude responds for a great tussle with Darren.
These submissions should not only be about the absolute carnage but also the purpose, respect, and honor behind droping the mits in the NHL
