As you all know I’m a big hockey fan, but I’m an even bigger fan of hockey fights.
I wanted to start a fun contest for the hockey forum seeing as playoffs are right around the corner…with your help I want to find the Top 5 Hockey Fights of All-Time.
To spice things up a bit, Logans.com has offered up $1,000 in prizing! Let me cut to the chase and tell you how this fun competition is going to work…
To submit an official entry in the contest you will need to make a post in this thread linking up a YouTube video of a single hockey fight (multiple fights or brawls coinciding will count, but not montages). The fight can be from any season, but it must be a hockey fight and you have to include a YouTube video so we can all enjoy watching a collection of good tilts.
One entry per user, so only post one video or you will be disqualified. Also, be careful not to post duplicates, if you post a video that another user has already been posted, their video will overrule yours, and you won’t be in the running for prizes.
Submit your entries before the final game of the NHL Regular Season begins: the Oilers and Ducks game at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, April 11th. Any entries submitted after that time will not be eligible. Rizzo and I will choose the best 5 fights and announce the winners on Monday, April 12th here in this thread.
1st Place - $500 Free Play 2nd Place - $250 Free Play 3rd Place - $125 Free Play 4th Place - $75 Free Play 5th Place - $50 Free Play
Those are some solid prizes that will help you out big-time, arriving in perfect time for the start of NHL playoffs!
To be eligible for the prizes you must have an active account with Logans.com prior to the contest deadline, you can sign-up and learn more about them here. Prizes are subject to a 3x rollover before you can submit a withdrawal request.
Unclaimed prizes are voided after 7 days.
Best of luck!

FFWD to 3:00. Emery starts wailing on a guy and the Philly goalie flies down the ice only to summersault over the pile (@3:30). Good times.
Funny thing is that, back then, I never knew what a headcase Emery was. When the NHL was in a lockout, I caught a Binghamton Sens/St.John's Maple Leafs game. All ten players squared off with one another, and Emery shot the puck down the ice at Tellqvist in an attempt to call him out. Tellqvist shot it back at him and then Emery starting yelling back. No fight broke out but it was freakin' hilarious.

I got one that is a different kind of fight. You gotta stand out from the crowd ya know.
Long version the fun starts about the 1:30 mark
Short version
The funny thing is take a look at the Rangers as this is happening. They got that look as if "Fuck that, we are staying right here on the ice"
I just knew that YOU (of all people) would have an old Bruins fight. I'm just surprised you didn't throw in the one with the fans reaching over the glass after Orr got leveled.

I dont even need to open the link. By the commentary it is the McNabb-OReilly go into crowd at MSG. That was an ugly incident. I believe they raised the height of the glass after that night

I thought about that one, but wanted to just one. But that was very interesting also.

Doesnt get Much more epic than the Good Friday Brawl. Game 6 of the the series between Montreal and Quebec. Players were out for Blood here, especially Dale Hunter when he goes Psycho.

I remember this... This was one of the first games and fights that I remember. The announcers did a great job. My uncle got me watching hockey in the late 90's and this was one of the first.. LOVE IT
