i feel the same about panthers too. all their guys are having career years (or were on pace to break their personal bests) and at some point its going to have to stop no? they will regress and lack secondary scoring

sagarin ratings also has leafs as the 10th best team!

I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if Burke makes a big enough move before the deadline to acquire a front-line center, and the deal will involve one of Kadri or Schenn. Burke knows that they MUST make the playoffs...no ifs, ands or buts.

Cant see the Panthers making the playoffs. Not enough scoring. Just got worked by Caps last night too.

the leafs are a far ways away from being a legit playoff team...they have no forecheck and a couple defencemen who dont like to hit (gunnarssson & Liles) and like i said theres no forward with regular ice time that likes to go into the corners for the puck, lastnight the jets had a great forecheck giving the leafs fits all night..they need 'truculant' top 6 forward and another top 3 Defenceman before we can start talking playoffs

5-0 shutout loss on home ice to the last place habnots I cant wait till the laffs dont make the playoffs and all the excuses start btwn the imposter GM and his jackass coach.  And please don't forget to bend over when you buy your new years classic tix

They could still make the playoffs if the other teams shit the bed. My fav was in 2006 or 2007 when the Leafs and Canadiens literally knocked each other out of the playoffs in the last game of the season. The Leafs needed the Devils to beat the Islanders, but of course that NYI goalie stood on his head and they won in a shootout. Would love to see the same shit happen again this yr for laughs.

The Sens still could F it up and give the spot to the Leafs.  But I still think the Jets have a great shot to nab that 8th spot.  They have a very weak schedule.
