On the Fan590 today they announced he turned down 2 offers to stay in Atlanta:

 7 years at 10 million a season or

10 years at 101 million

Is it just me or am I correct in thinking that if a team is gonna give a mixed offer of players,picks, maybe cash that the team trying to get Kovy would expect some kind of sign and trade deal? You are correct, trading for him for only a few months is not worth the trade, so a sign and trade deal is the only thing that does make sence to me. Could that happen?

I agree He's worth a lot more if he agrees to sign long term. Yes this can happen and I hope he signs in BeanTown for 5+ years.

I think that would have to be case.Lot to shell out for a few months
