Rangers or Bruins, not so happy. I like him as a player and had a hard time watching him play in Atlanta as it was, as a fan I don't like the Rangers or Bruins. Just me and my opinion which means noting in the world of others.

I DIDN'T think about that.... KINGS=Nevermind.... Just now putting a good team together that is showing results. I have been rooting for the Kings for as long as my Flyers, glad to finally see some great potential for success.

My Kings have suffered enough with letting loose players I liked. I hope whatever happens(IF the deal is made with LA) the Kings have enough sence to maintain the best of thier players somehow, someway.

The Atlanta Thrashers have stepped up their efforts to move superstar winger Ilya Kovalchuk and a trade could happen "by the weekend," a source close to the situation told ESPN.com Wednesday.

It appeared Wednesday night that the Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings and New Jersey Devils were the teams still involved, two sources said. ESPN.com confirmed that Thrashers associate GM Rick Dudley was at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Wednesday night scouting an AHL game between New Jersey's farm team, the Lowell Devils, and the Hartford Wolfpack.

Atlanta GM Don Waddell expects to trade Kovalchuk in the coming days, but he's believed to be asking for much more than the Rangers are willing to pay.

According to NY Post reporter Larry Brooks, posting via his Twitter account, the Thrashers are looking for a combination of packages that include: defenseman Marc Staal; defenseman Michael Del Zotto and forward Ryan Callahan; or Brandon Dubinsky and a first-round pick.

The Rangers are not believed to be interested in paying such a price, thus putting them out of the running.

The Boston Bruins, Ottawa Senators and Calgary Flames have also reportedly balked at the asking price.

I don't know about that. would be TYPICAL RANGERS to trade away their top young players for a "marquee" name. I personally wouldn't touch the guy with a ten foot pole (or a polish guy that stood 5" 8" either). he turns down a reported $10 million a year for 10 years offer from Atalanta? HE'S NUTS and he could STILL end up in the KHL next season.

What GM in there right mind would give Wadell what he wants when they can just sign Kovy in July and give up nothing.

Also I hope he goes to Ben-Town, reunited with Savard. Maybe then they could score a goal. I love my B's but it's getting harder and harder to see them carry the play and still come away with no points.

How about Armstrong+Kovy for Wideman, ryder, wheeler, boychuck, Bos 1st and 2nd rd. (can't give up the lottery pick).
