Cherry mentions that just before the hit, Shawn Thornton skated by the Canucks bench and mouthed off at Rome.  He makes no excuses for Rome's hit, and is a fan of Thornton, but Cherry said Thornton should have just kept his mouth shut instead of firing up Rome.

if u played hockey before u should all know all that shit is part of the game,roughing,slashing its hockey not golf,but late hits and guys getting carried off on a stretcher cause of it and biting is not and there is no need for that in the nhl

Trash talking is part of the game and sometimes gets players to take a penalty, Thornton just didn't think he'd be knocked out to draw that penalty.

I agree big time with the keep the head up thing.

a crosscheck show me the video. u have to have 2 hands over 12 inches apart to be a crosscheck - either way if that is the case seidenberg should have 6 mins in 2 games where he crosschecked sedins.
