I'm going to start including my own personal capped lines to keep track of how my own lines compare to the vegas lines
Leans for Monday:
Flyers/Canes:
My Line: Flyers -198
I just don't like the way this stretch of games is turning out for the canes (starting since the hawks game on oct 28). And even more, i really don't like what they've done in the away games since then (all loses: 5-1, 3-2, 5-1, 4-0). I do like a lot of goals to be scored in this one though....but i'm sure everyone else on the board will be feeling the same way, so i may play the under just for that reason
i'm honestly considering taking the flyers -1 1/2 @ +160. I don't see value in taking them -200 and feel like i should just bet hard against the canes until they make me pay for it.
Leans: Flyers -1 1/2, Over
Isles vs. Pens.
My line: Pens -255
i've bet the isles 2 times this year, and many would say that's nuts and insane, but i've won both of those times. but lets face it, this is the game that will be known as the return of sidney crosby.
that makes me like the isles even more. I see a lot of value in them in this play. everything about the stats say that it's silly, but the pens will have crosby on the ice, and he hasn't played in what, a year?
playing professional hockey is like riding a unicycle. I don't care how good you are at it or how you've practiced it your whole life..... it's still a fucking unicycle
Leans: Isles, None on total
Yotes/Caps
My line: Yotes -137
the yotes really just haven't been netting too many in their last 5 while only shooting 8.6%, and haven't been allowing the goals much either, giving up a 4.7 shot % against. the caps are even worse offensively L5, shooting at 5.3% and converting 0 power plays, while allowing a 12.6% SA L5.
but the caps are too good of a team to go on such a long skid, and i think theyll take advantage of a semi-strong opponent to get back on track.....however, it's just not enough for me. i never bet against very strong teams when on a long losing streak
Leans: Pass
Flames/Jackets
My line: Flames -169
plain and simple, i just think the flames are a little bit less shitty than the jackets, and i also usually like to bet on teams that are beginning a roadtrip. I don't know why the line is so close though, which kind of scares me. The only lean i'm almost 100% sure about playing is the under in this one. it should be 4
Leans: Flames, Under
habs/bruins
My line: Bruins -173
I almost just want to watch this game more than anything. I don't really want to touch the total because as we've seen, these teams can go either way. I really think boston is red hot right now and will be hard to stop, but i just like something about the habs at home.
but then again, after the bru's lost 2 in a row, you know they'll be looking for revenge....
Leans: pass. it'll just be fun to watch
Devils/Pants
My line: Devils -119
I really like the devils form right now. with only losses to washington and boston in their last 9, i just think they're playing great hockey. all season, the devils have been having rollover performances, and i think after their win against the bolts, they'll roll it over here too
Leans: Devils, pass on total
Oil/Stars:
My line: Oil -105
I'm using my "mid-season Dallas fade" technique a little early this year....i didn't start it until the middle of january last year, but i'm seeing a lot out of this team that is reminding me of that.
as long as khabi plays, i'll likely be on the oil.
Leans: Oil, Pass on the total
BOL guys. be back tomorrow to post plays
