Mtl in 5 - The Habs are the superior squad and are in the B's head but with Savard back B's should win 1 game.
Pens in 6 - too much upheaval in the room, too many key components in sickbay and too little ability between the pipes for the Sens.
NYR in 6 - If not for Brodeur, this one might be a sweep. Marty and the trap get them 2 games but no more.
Wash in 6 - Flyers will try and run the Caps through the end boards but the Caps are flying right now and Cristo will backstop them to the next round.
 
Det in 5 - No surprises here. Nashville has done a great job making it this far with that roster but the season ends here. Detroit too much experience and depth but will drop one game because they always throw a clunker in the first round.
SJ in 6 - Keenan will try and fire up his charges for the playoffs but the Sharks are riding high now and I don't see it stopping now.
Ducks in 6 - Defending champs have some well-rested key players (Pronger/Selanne) and their defense will stifle anything the Stars bring.
Avs in 7 - The only series I see going 7. Very tough call but if Forsberg stays healthy and Theodore keeps it up they should slip past the Wild into Round 2.
