Would someone please tell WR’s and RB’s

That gaining one or two more yards on a play with a field of 100 yards is not worth flipping and landing to rupture an Achilles or taking the impact on your head???

None of that matters anymore.  ESPN highlights are about TD dances and choreographed little skits.  

Did somebody say Achilles? Ha! I totally agree with you here Scal. As a coach at a lower level I’ve seen this all the time and I can’t stand it. I grew up under this term and I teach it myself to the players: Less is More. Dont break the chain before it begins meaning, if we keep it simple and trust the process, things usually go well but when we try to do too much, things usually go south. When I ask the players why, they simply tell me they saw it in a game. Social media and the entertainment leagues we see on tv are the reason why we see it at the lower levels. Why do the pros do it? Well....it’s all about me, me, me rather than team team team with most. I saw a play last night where GB made a stop on Minny late and forced a punt. What does Tramon Williams do as the punt bounced at the 15? Rather than get out of the way considering there were 4 purple jerseys surrounding him, he fakes as if he was gonna grab the ball and then quickly tries to get out the way. The result? It touches him, he fumbles and Minnesota gets the ball. Stupid stuff like that along with the plays you speak of above are what fills our leagues nowadays. It’s only gonna get worse too. 

That late muffed punt by the GB player would/should have him immediately cut and waived today...i dont know or care if he was, but in a next man up league, that one play should never happen, ever...and i am sure that doofus has done similar stuff in other games because players like this dont just have one isolated brain fart, its a life long pattern...the nfl has never been in a place with less talent throughout the roster with the exception of the obvious star positions required

that muffed punt play is amazing! how do you not beat the sht out of that dude right there?? how can this happen, i would like to hear one good reason to be anywhere near that ball 

I would also want to add to the original comment, fumbling the ball while foolishly trying to gain that extra yard.  I can't tell you how many times this year I've had a perfectly good handicap blown or put in jeopardy because some doofus tried to be a hero and gain an extra yard after they'd already gained a key 1st down or even bigger play.

Zebra we all watched the play. We know what we saw. Keep enabling these idiots.

Well, you just hit on my pet peeve. Guys doing sack dances, backing into the end zone, tossing the ball over their shoulder before even reaching the end zone, high stepping etc. I understand perfectly that there's something to celebrate but c'mon man!!

he sees the ball, there are 6 vikings around, doesnt ask for a fair catch so he is not catching it / returning it obviously so why tf would he stay there if hes not a moron??

There are mistakes, and then theres this...you can find an nfl special team player like him at any grocery...hes the guy in the back stocking shelves at 2am during the graveyard shift...or doing construction on a local highway...dime a dozen...you do realize all those 1000s of student athletes who graduate college and/or have no more years of eligibility would do anything for a chance "not to eff up" that punt return down 2 scores late in the 4th, right?

The game looks a lot different on the field than it does on TV. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with anything said here. I'm simply saying that the game looks different on the field, in the heat of the moment...with a freaking helmet blocking your peripheral vision, than it does from multiple camera angles on a big screen television.

True, but there are a ton of "Kurt Warners" bagging groceries at this very moment simply because scouts and agents and GMs made obvious mistakes when evaluating overall talent and heart...just saying next man up...no one is entitled a job in pro sports...either you perform or eventually you are showed the door
