im def not a pats hater and not much of a stats guy... i just think patriots had too much of an easy road to get here... toughest opponent was ravens and almost lost at home... just like giants beat them at home... giants faced so much more adversity and overcame it... if eli can survive getting sacked what it seems to be like every other play and still be effective... he's gonna pick the patriots apart... those backing the patriots just keep saying "brady is brady" and fall into the hype of the patriots

You're talking about defense but look at the teams the giants played this season... they faced HEAVILY offensive teams this season with the accept of SF and STILL have a better defense than the pats... Giants have a 9th ranked offense and will be inflated against the 31st ranked defense

Top 5 teams NE played all season: 
PIT, 22nd ranked
NY, 9th ranked 
NYJ, 13th ranked 
SD, 6th ranked
BUF, 14th ranked

Not as strong of a schedule and still ranked 31st in defense... only team with a winning record the patriots beat this year was Baltimore and that was yesterday

These numbers don't really mean much for either side particularily because neither team has a choice who they play.
I'm undecided about this game right now but the one thing that has me thinking is that Eli is 1-0 vs Brady. If there is one thing I know about Brady is this will be on his mind for the next 13 days. I also like the fact that he also manned up today and said he flat out sucked....in essence putting more pressure on himself to excel.
There are very few in sports that have 'it' but he does. Some others that have 'it' would be Montana, Jordan, Magic, Bird, and Tiger Woods, I'd also include Ray Lewis but in a slightly lower level because he doesn't have control at the end of the game while those I listed always do.

its not about who they "choose" to play... its just that with such a bad schedule... they're still ranked 31st in defense... thats horrible

If you stated just once "revenge factor" as to why you are taking the Pats  Please stop watching sports and definately stop wagering your $,,,, It's the fkn superbowl I'm sure the 6 or 7 remaining guys on the Pats are motivated and the 40 or so guys on the Giants who have not won yet will be motivated.... Absolutely retarded !

Point taken, but lets face it this is the NFL its not easy to make it to the superbowl no matter how you sugar coat it. Besides the fact the Giants were nothing short of handed the game by turnovers last night. The Patriots got lucky with a missed feild goal. Its part of the game. But you really thing it Giants are going to walk in and roll the Pats? Not that easy my friend

yes... u can say they were handed 2 turnovers... but the giants made ZERO turnovers against an amazing defense... no credit for them? 1st of all.. its not that hard to make it into the playoffs when your division consists of jets miami buffalo... and then you get denver in the 1st round... really? def not easy but come on doesn't get much easier

Im giving the giants credit, as much as a hate them. Lets also remember the Giants were not exactly world beaters during the regular season.

I may be mistaken but I think the Giants may have been down a few key players when they beat NE at NE... Seems to me they have been playing much much better since they have been healthy.. Gonna be a good one !

Playoffs is a whole different season. As you saw with GB one of the best regular seasons ever and they were one and done. Why are you bringing up useless stats from the regular season. Your judgements are flawed

i brought up the argument for anyone that DID bring up the fact that the giants are ranked 27th in defense... judgements are far from flawed... Offenses are equal... giants defense is better and getting points... patriots have no vertical threat... giants win

IT IS NOT BETTER THAN THE GIANTS D-LINE PAL.

Uhhh not sure what you're talking about. You should change your title to why so much love for the giants cause everybody on this forum is on the giants. If anything the patriots should been the underdog. Consensus on covers have 63% on giants

And quit crybabying about turnovers,CHEESEHEAD and WINER fans said they would prevail because of their great season numbers. DIDN'T   HAPPEN. ELI will go into his brother's house and show how a real MANNING plays in the playoffs.
