Why Saints win Saturday !!!

Everyone is talking about how great SF D is and that is the main reason for SF winning but  over the last 7 weeks SF D allowed 14 pts per game versus the 15th, 31st, 19th, 12th injured Roethlisberger, 28th, and 31st ranked offenses. Saints over same period have allowed 18 pts per game to the 8th, 5th, 17th, 18th, 10th, and 7th ranked offenses. Saints D is playing better than SF D.   SF D is over rated.  NFC south this yr is tougher then NF west.

Brees is better then Smith period!!!!
Saints RB are averaging more yds per carry then SF RBs

All SF has going for them is home field advantage plain n simple.
And Yes I am a Saints homer but can anyone give me a good reason why SF will win this one ?

NO.   Greg Williams does a fine job getting the team ready for anyone.
Saints D will come to play come Saturday .  Grass and SF D is all people have to justify a SF win.

Against the Saints offense Id rather have the Saints defense.  Against niners defense Id rather have niners defense.  Both strengths of offense are better than both strengths on defense in this game.   Highly leaning towards the over.

Well Patrick Willis has been out 4 weeks?? so that 14pts they allow a game would go down, he is going to play this week and will help that defense shut down the saints rushing attack which in my eyes is the reason the saints are so dominate right now, top 8 rushing attack top 3 passing attack...we will see I am going with the HOME DOG BOL

SF dominates New Orleans on special teams and defense...

Offensive Pro Bowlers - NO=5 ; SF=2
Defense/Special Teams Pro Bowlers - NO=0 ; SF=6

And that is excluding Navorro Bowman who has filled in tremendously for Patrick Willis and SHOULD be a pro-bowler

Surely Drew Brees is better than Alex Smith, but SF has one of the best starting field position in the league because their outstanding defense and special teams.  Turnovers, punts inside the 20, red zone defense, etc.

Let's also not forget coaching.  Harbaugh will out coach Payton.  Besides, wouldn't it be really fun to have another Harbaugh game but this time for the superbowl?

Nobody in their right mind would trade the New Orleans D for the San Francisco D.

Since 2007 teams that score 40 points in the playoffs are 3-18 ATS the following week
Including the Saints in 2009, when they almost lost to the Vikings and did not cover

Yea I saw that too.  I can understand the trend bc the public would overvalue the team scoring that much and the line would be inflated,  and it is unlikely that they would score that many points the following week. But the 40 points the Saints put up is not an outlier, it has become the norm.  Do you have a trend for teams that have scored more than 40 points their last 4 games?

Also from what I know SF QB is still Alex Smith.  This time last yr he was crap 82.1 passer raiting Now with better coaching everyone acts like he is Joe Montana ?  This clown will be a huge reason SF loses in the playoffs .

The saints win because Drew Breez is on fire . In sports when you got it it can't be stopped . Plus no one wants to see SF loss by 100 to the Pack next week.      Everyone wants GBAY Vs NO NFC title match game of the year to heavy weights Paqman vs Mayweather Ali vs Frazier.      Fuck the stats its just destiny like Bird Magic.

I'm a homer so obviously I will say the saints will win. I was surprised by the original line but I'd take the saints regardless. Saints running game is solid but they don't need it to be effective. I'd rather have Payton than Harbaugh. 9ers D is not overrated though.

 

The stats I like are: Saints D can be passed on and are decent against the run, 9ers cannot pass well and their strength is running. 9ers D can be passed on and the Saints are insane passing wise. I think the Saints match up well agains the 9ers.

I'm thinking saints and the over. GL in your decisions....
