if you can see by these stats there is not as big of a distance as you think it is. You a causal that watches ESPN for your determination.

Interestingly.......Manning had a career passer rating of 84.1 .....utterly mediocre....although he played on some mediocre teams for sure....but against the Patriots and their tough defense he had a rating of 96.2......so he stepped it up......he only had 3 touchdowns in the two games combined....but obviously had the huge moments and played solid football......that Giants defensive line should was as much an map as Eli.....but he came thru when it counted....those two runs.....no doubt about it......

So what you are saying is if we remove the 30 extra games, Peyton still had almost 100 more tds and 19 less ints.

Phil Sims won a Superbowl MVP. I'm assuming he is as good as Rodgers since he only 1 as well.
Don't forget that Malcolm Smith won a Superbowl MVP with Seattle. He is clearly as good if not better than Ray Lewis.

Your argument is flawed all over the place. Eli caught lightening in a bottle twice in his career in January/February. Other than that he was mediocre in the league. Nothing special. Won a couple games he should have lost. Lost a couple games he should have won.

Definitely not Payton Manning as I can't stand that guy and his NFL parting gift the year of his retirement with a Superbowl ring against the best team in football the Carolina panthers with a 15-1 record and the best defense in football that year miraculously fumbles the football on the opening kickoff and the rest was history as Sheriff Manning gets to ride into the sunset with a gifted Superbowl retirement ring.....yeah okay!

Peyton carried a lot of Colts teams with no D to the playoffs-it took him 3 tries to get over the Pats once the Colts got a solid D; Similar to John Elway he had more playoff success at the latter end of his career, his complete body of work makes him a top 5 QB all-time in my opinion...
