bets2win,
First thing, i never, since being on covers have come into somebody's thread and bashed, understand i am not hating or bashing but while i was reading your write ups i just kept thinking, here's a guy who's trying to sell a story. Your write ups are nice stories but i disagree whoeheartedly with several key pieces in every write up. I will point out a few things i disagree with.......
Detroit--You talk about Shefffler tearing it up when it's actually been Pettigrew scoring all the TD's. Next, yes Hill has done well with getting points on the board when in there but he has been hurt, hasn't played in a while and will be rusty. Yes Buffalo is horrrid against the run but the Lions can't run it. I don't hate the play just not gping to be as easy an over as you think
Chicago--You quoted everyone is saying how much of a must win it is for Minne, Minne has been in a must win situation since week 3. I think it's more appropriate to say how everyone is talking about the Moss deal and mostly how Childress has lost the team. The Bears are a fraud offensively, the O-line is in shambles and that plays right into Minne's strength, their D-line. the secondary can be had but Minne's front 7 will win this game. Hate this play.
Houston--You say Jax's D is "awful", Houstons is just as bad. Maybe you are over-betting this team. San Diego hung 29 on em with Ajiritutu, McMichael, Tolbert and Crayton, now that's a scrap heap if i've ever seen one. Don't like this play.
Carolina--"Sloppy game, Tampa turn overs, bad special teams play, will shoot themselves in the foot all day", sounds like Carolina to me.? As for why the 37 total, maybe vegas likes 27-10, Tampa? Don't like this play much either.
Indy--You essentially said Freeny and Mathis are better than Pitt's D. I wouldn't say that. I like the play just don't like some of your reasoning.
New England--You expect Brady to get something cooking with the WR'S, what wide receivers? New England better be able to run it a little bit or it could be a long night. I pass on this play.
New England Over--Why would Pitt and Big Ben need to sling it so much against this team. NE D is pretty bad, and on the road against the run especially. Hillis killed em last week and there is no reason to think Mendenhall can't either. Pitt will do what they always do, set up the pass and play action through the run, and they will do it. Again, i like the play just not the reasoning.
Your record is very good at 64%, with that said. I've been reading your threads/write ups all year, lately your wtite ups make me feel weird instead of good about your picks. you've hit a bit of a rough spot an i think you may be trying a bit too hard. BOL this week i hope you turn it around, just dont think it will happen with these picks. I actually like your leans better. ![]()
im not gonna debate all ur points, bc i like a lot of what u said but at the end of the day, one team will win, one team will lose... and conversely, one bet will win and one bet will lose... clearly, youre on the opposition of my picks, and thats fine... maybe youll win, maybe ill win, we cant agree or there would be 100% action on every side....

I finished off the Week 1-5-1, DOWN Over 4 Units!!! ![]()

Bringing my Overall Record to 41-23-1 (Still a Respectable 64%)
I'm gonna do something I haven't done all season but I've had A LOT of success doing it in the past... That's Betting Totals (Over/Unders)!!! I've Bet a Few Totals so far this yr but I haven't actually Posted them here... this Week, I'm Posting them!!!
This Week WILL BE REDEMPTION for me!!!
Week 10 Picks:
Detroit @ Buffalo OVER 44.5: Well Detroits got Shaun Hill starting inplace of Matthew Stafford. Hills had relative success when replacing Stafford, infact out of the 4 Games where Hill has started, 3 out of the 4 have gone Over. Detroits Offense is BEASTLY at times, with Megatron and Nasty Nate Burleson tearing it up at WR and Tony Schefflers been getting it done at the TE Position, infact Buffalos Defense allows the MOST production against Opposing Teams Tight Ends, so I expect the Scheff to get open for some solid Yardage and 1 Score. Buffalos Defense is actually pretty decent against the Pass, Ranking 6th in Passing Yds allowed but theyre Dead Last (32nd) against the Rush, so while Detroit may Rank 30th in the Rushing Game, I expect them to get something going with JBest's Turf Toe getting Better by the Week, and this should allow Hill to open up the PA Pass and theres no way Buffalo will contain Megatron all game, Im expecting 120 Yds, with atleast 1 Score out of him. Ryan Fitzpatricks done a Great Job at QB for the Bills, giving them some Life on the Offensive side of the ball. Fitz wasn't so great @ KC, but Arrowhead Stadium's VERY tough on Opposing QBs, and then Last Week, Fitz also struggled against the Bears Defense which has been Solid against Opposing QBs.... Now they face a VERY Mediocre Defense with a Swiss Cheese Secondary! Even though Fitzpatrick lost Roscoe Parrish for the Season, S. Johnson and Lee Evans are a VERY Underrated WR Duo! These teams are Ranked 27th and 32nd in Points Allowed so I expect this to be a pretty good game with A LOT of scoring, but it should go down to the Wire... I am WORRIED About the Weather in Buffalo, but IF the Weathers not HURRENDOUS, I like this game to go WAY OVER 44.5!!!
Chicago +1 vs Minnesota: Everyones saying Minnesota "Must Win" but unfortunately, that doesn't really dictate who actually Wins and Loses in the NFL, A LOT of "Must Win" teams Lose big games like this. Chicagos been AWESOME @ Home against Opposing QBs, infact the MOST TD's that an opposing QB has passed for @ Soldier Field is 1 TD... Plus Brett Favre's last 5 Games @ Soldier Field have Netted him 5 TD's and 7 INT's, so DO NOT expect a Big Game out of Favre. Infact, I expect Chicago's D-Line to create HAVOK ALL Game Long, since Minnesota has NOT shown the ability to protect Favre all year long, they'll let him get knocked around all game and Brett will feel that pressure and "force" in a few balls, on multiple occassions. Chicagos Rush-Def has also been Stout, posting the 3rd LEAST Rushing Yds per Game... Minnesota "could" Win this game with All Day Peterson carrying the load but sooner or later, Brett's going to have to make plays to Win this game and I expect him to Fail against the Bears Secondary! Cutler and the Bears have not been all that great this season but Forte has been VERY Dangerous on the Ground or Through the Air, he Flat Out gets it done!! This game will be Won by the team who Forces their Opposition to make MORE Mistakes and Limit their Own Turnovers, I expect Chi-Town to Protect the Football and cash in on Turnovers, Penalties, and Field Position. Chicago ENDs the Vikings Season!!
I've got MORE Picks coming... Im gonna post them shortly....
