The Vikings will win this game straight up, and I cant wait to start the NFL season winning a large bet at 2 to 1.
Lets look at last years NFC title game.
The Saints got every break imagineable. every call that could have gone either way, went the Saints way.
For example
-The non call on McCrays high low hit on Favre that resulted in an INT..when it should have been a penalty, and 1st and 10 in the redzone for MN
-The phantom PI call in OT
-The 4th and 1 conversion run
-the pass over the middle that could have been called either way.
combine these calls with the Vikings fumbling problems in last years game..(fumbling handoffs inside the 10)..Minnesota still only lost by 3..
Now fast forward to this year.
Minnesota returns 20 of 22 starters for this game. including replacing a rookie MLB with a a PRO BOWL MLB...They also get Winfield back to 100%, who is a top 10 CB in the league when healthy.
When MInnesota has the ball:
Yes, MN will not have Rice...but they have Harvin on the outside who is as explosive as it gets..and add Camarillo in the slot...who is a sure thing when passes come his way. The Vikes will NOT fumble 6 times again..it just wont happen. The Saints lose their best LB when it comes to tackling in Fujita, and have other numerous injuries on the D side....We could put together a random group of 7 Covers members, and be a better front 7 against the run than what the Saints will have on the field tommorrow...thats not a good recipe when you are facing one of the top 2 RBs in the league. The Vikes have the whole OL in tact, and they have a year under their belt. The Saints are also without their best ball hawking defender in Sharper....Not good for the Saints who gave up 500+ yards last year, and 320 through the air vs Favre.
When New Orleans has the ball.
Yes, the saints offense is awesome.I get it...they are explosive...but like I said...The entire Defense, minus 1 CB comes back..and that CB gets replaced by a solid replacement in Lito Sheppard. Last year, Leslie Frazier (one of the leagues top D Coordinators) adjusted in the 2nd half last year..and the vaunted Saints O only put up 95 yds in the 2nd half last year...
Im sure there are a few points Im missing, but you guys get it.
The saints are super bowl champs, and congrats to them...but that rabbits foot has fallen out of their ass now...
No more of these unforced fumbles, recovering onside kicks in thesuper bowl, Opponents collapses like WSH and MIA did last year.
The Vikings were the better team last year...and are clearly the better team this year..

Vikes by 10.

Hope you start the NFL season as well as I will.
