I can remember Howard Cosell would always respond to mention of trends, with "there's always a first time!" I think that stat has a built in bias, in that loosing teams tend to get more and more points, until finally they cover. The thing I like about this game is that it's not a lot of points I'm giving.  I'm wondering if this game is an under, both teams struggling, defenses dominating.  But just like the generals who prepare for the last war, we think of these teams as we have known them over the years, and the key to good handicapping is assessing the teams as they are playing today. In a game that may be an ugly grind, the Colts are still a big play threat and are heading somewhere. I'll ride with them. -3 125/100

No there not, they are 24-1 ATS but there is a reason im going against it, the Colts will win by double digits 

   I think Getty's refering to the pic sixes Manning's been providing for opposing Ds, not the points Manning has put up for the Colts. You can't guarentee he will get out of this rut he's in just because it's the Ttans on sunday. The Cowboys' D wasn't all that good either but they managed 4 picks.

                     

 

   Kenny Britt is returning this week and Collins loved throwing to him with success earlier this year. Could open things up for CJ even more.

Also, Titans could not stop any run offense of the Jags as Mojo killed them.

I'm thinking about being the antagonist in this game. Since watching Peyton all the way back to his days at the University of Tennessee, more often than not, this guy folds like a cheap suit when he feels big pressure and it's showed over the past 3 or 4 games. With a decimated supporting cast, he's been asked to carry the team and his results have proven what his history has borne out. Yes, he won a Super Bowl and yes, he's put up huge numbers, but how many times has he blown it - especially in New England?  I personally believe Manning's past 4 weeks are indicative of who he is - a choker.

Watch for Moss to score a couple of TD's and Tennessee to grind out a SU win.

I haven't made this bet yet, but that's my feeling this morning.
