I am pretty sure that some folks wont even bet money on the Titans but they will say I am picking the Titans. LOL
This is not rocket science and even though alot of people are looking for that special write up that picks the underdog, please let me tell you, stop! and if you run in to one do not pay attention to it.
I can really make a case for the Titans here. Lets take a look: The Colts as we all know can not stop the run. Indy is ranked 29th and they allow 142.8 yds per game so then you would think that a Titans team with C.Johnson should be able to run all over them, specially since we all have a fresh memory of what he was capable of acomplishing last year! Also the Titans are playing at home and they have Kerry Collins back with Kenny Britt and Randy Moss as Primary weapons on the passing game. Not to mention that the Colts are a hospital. I mean they have lost so many players to injury this year that it is crazy and not even Payton Manning has been able to overcome all this adversity! The list could go on and on and you can find many reasons to think that the Colts are doomed tonight, and that the ones backing tonight are just blinded by what the Colts and Manning have us used to.
Colts -3: There are alot of system plays and theories out there, that say that P. Manning has not lost 3 in a row and that he wont lose 4 in a row etc etc. Let me say that he has never thrown so many picks also, and not only in one game but in back to back to back games. So now you can´t say it can´t happen again! So who ever thinks that´s the reason why the Colts win tonight you are out of your mind.
Reason#1. Even though C. Johnson is still one of the elite R.B in the N.F.L he has not had the same impact that he had last year. Although he is ranked 6th in rushing, the leadership that he brought to this Titans team last season is not there this season. The Colts are 29th against the rush, but look at the teams they have faced this season:
Houston (twice) Ranked 7th in rushing with A. Foster the number 1 leading rusher in the league
NYGiants ranked 6th in rushing
Jacksonville ranked 2nd in rushing with M.Jones Drew the number 2 leading rusher in the league.
Kansas City Ranked 1st in rushing with J. Charles the number 3 leading rusher in the league.
Philadelphia Ranked 5th in rushing
With this I am not saying that is the reason why they cant stop the run, but they have faced teams that have very good and balanced offense. The Titans are Ranked 12th in rushing but they do not have a balanced Offense. The Titans do not have a passing game which will affect them at the end of this game. They got shut down by Houston and they only scored 6 pts against Jax!!! Yes I know it was a rookie Q.B they had starting but never the less Kerry Collins will remind us today how old he is. The Titans do get their WR Britt back and to be honest I think this is the game where R.Moss should be more of a factor, but it wont matter at the end.
Reason#2 The Colts D-Rush will show up in this game and Mathis and Freeney will have a huge Impact on the game. They will not look like a number one Deffense, lets not be foolish but they will get it done tonight. Their Run D will be better then average, as they will allow the Titans their share of runs and points also one or two big plays to either Britt or Moss but at the end of the day I see turnovers being forced by the presure that the Colts will have on Collins.
Reason#3 P. Manning and the Colts even with a short week to practice they will still be able to adjust their play calling. I believe that the Titans D will allow the Colts to bounce back from their mistakes. The O-Line will play much better and P.Manning will throw the ball as usual but he will not be looking to make the plays that he is used to. With this I am not saying he will not throw or make big plays, because trust me he will! All Im saying is that now he realizes that he has to adjust to his young WR and T.E and not the opposite.
Reason#4 Despite the Colts losing 3 games in a row, you have to see that one way or the other the Colts always give themselves a chance to comeback and win the game (except the San Diego game). Their 3 game losing streak has been to teams that have more talent than them right now. They lost to the Pats, San Diego and Dallas. Yes Dallas, despite their losing record and not having Romo they are still very talented all around and they have great playmakers. So what I am trying to say is that they have not been blown out and they have not lost to just any team.
The Titans in the other hand to me are just an avergae team with alot of problems heading their way and even though their playoff hopes are still alive, I don´t see them going any where, and tonight the Colts will help finish digging their hole.
Reason#5 Wow is P. Manning been playing bad or what? 4 reasons why the Colts win and P. Manning is not the main one! Well let me say that these 3 games that they lost (and he had carrer record Int) will help him adjust in a way where he hasnt had to for so long. He is a great player and he will show us tonight why he is in the top ten in the 100 greatest NFL Players of all time. He will not only have a good game, but he will manage the game and clock and he will guide his team to a Much needed Win.
In Conclusion:
