Ya I hear ya I wouldnt expect yopu too cheer for the Pats.  But I wouldnt say what they are doing makes them a bunch of assholes.  And Bill B is the best coach in football his players respect him, and play hard for him and if they dont he finds someone else to plug in there.  Pats are playing hard nose football right now and it is fun to watch.  It all starts with the coach and then Brady they have bought in to Bill and it shows.  It is funny to listen and read what people  bitch about the Pats it is because you wish that your team was as good as the Pats.

I as a Pats fan do not like the Jets but i enjoyed wathing them play because I am a fan of the game.  I like what Rex Ryan has done and he adds excitement to the game.  The jets for a while were playing hard, but now I dont know what has happened.  I like to watch great defenses and that is why I enjoyed the Jets playing even though I am a pats fan.  I hope the Jets turn this mess around so it adds to the rivalry but I think they need a new quarterback to do this.

So as a Patriots fan I went to that blizzard game on Sunday...For what its worth, why is up to the team up by 29 to call off the dogs first in the 4th qtr...the Bears still had all their starters out there and were STILL trying to score, Cutler was out their in the 4th throwing interceptions. How many passes did Hanie/Collins throw for the Bears in that game. Maybe if Lovie knew when to concede the game, then Belichick would have decided to do the same.

Agreed. This team does this to us time and time again. They play hard for Rex but the problem is Rex is not involved in the offense at all. This is not a goo thing. Schottenheimer is just like his father. Way too predictable and conservative. When we drafted Sanchez I was worried because evwen though he had a lot of talent he was very raw. He needed the right offensive system and proper coaching to turn him into an elite qb. This is not going to happen under Schottenheimer. Either Rex steps in and becomes more involved in the offensive game plan or we change the system.

On the other side of that, if you take brady our and he never plays in the 4th quarter how would that be accurate stats.  What do you want him to do?  They just play their game for 4 quarters.  Brady is by far the best quaterback to ever play the game.  If the "scumbag" is so amazing, then why didn't he work in Cleveland?  He needed a great quarterback.

Why was Cutler in when the game was over in the 3rd quarter? If the Pats are going to stop trying it is only fair that the Bears stop as well right? The announcer should have just told everyone to go home and turned off the lights according to this logic.

 2 monthes ago all people were talking about on the sportstalk radio  was that the season is done without  Moss, their defense sucks, now that they have dominated the last2 games you might as well give them the Lombardi trophy. If the Pats face the Jags,Steelers, Chiefs, and the Jets in the Playoffs they definately win, If they face the Ravens and or the Colts, 2 teams that have proven that they can beat the Pats in the playoffs, it would be intersting games,The Chargers is the team I can't figure out, but know nobody wants to face them

 

I will add to this.  I live in New England, but do not come from here.  I am a huge sports fan, but no fan of any single team.  The way I see it, sports are just not what they were years ago.

BB has an arogance about him, as do many of the sucsessful coaches.  Leaving Brady in (his choice) is a bit over the top, but being he makes the decisions, and he is also the risktaker.  If Brady gets injured, maybe BB is gone?

The Pats are the best team right now!  That could all change within the next three weeks also.  I do not think anybody who watched New England six weks ago, thought they were the best, if at all?

Remember a couple of things - it has been six years since the Pats have won a Super Bowl and secondly it takes but one game to get beat.  The Giants did it to them in the Super Bowl, whe they were undefeated.  This is not a series like baseball, hockey, etc, where the best team wins 80-90% of the time.

The Pats have done a few things well in all of their big match-ups (Jets, Steelers, Ravens, Chargers, Bears) which is, they always get the lead.  If you look at the losses, they fell behind and they struggled.  They were even in trouble against the Lions for a big portion of that game on Thnaksgiving.

Keys to beating the Pats:

• Get the lead / Pressure Brady / you must score 25+ points

If you can do those three things, the Pats will be knocked out again.

If you are an opponent of NE and you're losing big in the 4th, it's time to evaluate what NE has been doing all game, suck it up, and play defense while considering what has been exposed in the 1st three quarters!

If NE continues to pass and you can't stop them, and can't even get to Brady with the rush, I guess you'll have to play nickel for the rest of the game, and force NE to run. It's so simple. Play the game. We're talking about NFL teams here, not high school teams. Why all the crying about NE not running clock in the 4th quarter. Sheesh.

I remember when Bruce Coslet was the Jets coach in the 90's, and Jimmy Johnson called for a double-safety blitz during the 4th quarter of a Dallas blowout of the Jets. Coslet cried to the media after the game that Johnson was classless for calling such an aggressive blitz during a blowout. The people on here are no better than Coslet 15+ years ago. Play the game!

just about 100% of coaches and 80% of players on the receiving end of a patriots beatdown acknowledge that there is nothing wrong with a team continuing to play hard for 4 quarters.  patriots do things like going for it on 4th down and continuing to pass to give the opposing defense the opportunity to stop them and to get more reps.  we have seen what happens when teams take their foot off the pedal (hello, colts).  ultimately, what happens is a couple crybaby players (braylon edwards from the jets for example) whine about running up the score instead of doing their fucking job.  if i'm a coach in the nfl and one of my players cries about the other team running the score up, i kick him off my fucking team.  fuck that.  pussies.
