The" Fade Bill Browns" Thread

What is the purpose of this thread?  Both teams will be bad (Mangini will be headed for the unemployment line very soon if Browns lose at home to KC.)  You should have taken 1/2 your TOTAL betting pool and split it on each of them for under 5 1/2 wins for the season - that was the over/under on both of them for the saseon.  Lines will be adjusted as to how bad they are both teams will likely be around 8-8 ATS.  Good luck to you

What do you guys want me to do? Count both the Chiefs plays as wins? Or take only the last posted play so that the system can stay true to only "one play per team per week"? I bet both the bets myself so I was doubled up on the Chiefs and if they lost, I would have lost 2 units and most here (haters) would call for the record to show the double-loss... so technically I should do the same for the wins?

But personally, I'd rather the count stay true to one play a week and maybe I'll just try to minimize making "double-plays"?

Either way, FADE BILL BROWNS!

Normally I ignore haters, especially when it's already been mentioned in the thread, but the answer to your question is: through my capping, I believe they WON'T go 8-8 ATS because the bookies won't be able to make lines high enough... and if they somehow do, I'll be there to jump on the other side... very unlikely.

GB was a perfect example of this already in week 2... They weren't going to release a 16+ spread this early in the season so they had to keep it small... easy cover. The rest of the games have been smaller spreads because the public doesn't trust that the Bills/Browns are this bad... they'll likely take notice now but I believe the lines still won't be high enough this week or next week. I'll be quoting this when it happens...

Exactly, the smart move.  Also, if either team actually had a decent year you could easily back off the fades midway through the season, whereas your season long bet would likely be a (much) bigger bet and theres no backing out.

I have not faded either team so far, but I agree this is the way to play it if you are gonna fade them.

The Ravens are already starting to drop... looking to get them at -9.5 or better. Patriots up to -13.

I think I got the best possible lines... no way the Patriots go below -13 and if the Ravens do somehow drop then I'll be doubling up for sure. If it goes up, I might even middle myself because I think the Browns have an outside shot at covering. We'll see how it goes but always FADE BILL BROWNS.

good choice, not all count all posted plays, we'll see what happens when you double up a play like that and lose though

I will gladly post the loss... I'm not on here to cheat anyone or lie. In fact, I pride myself on my meticulous records and tallies. It's not hard to do yet 90% of people on here have a problem doing it.

Really thought the Browns would be better than this. Good job so far man your on a roll.

Browns havent made one good play in the 2nd half of a game yet. It only can be POOR COACHING IMO.

The Browns scare me a bit this week but the line hasn't budged really so I think this one will be lop-sided like the line says... Ravens by 17 as the offense really breaks out and flexes some muscle.

In the other game, Patriots -12.5 to the BANK! Glad I got the extra point-and-a-half... which may even be a full two points by gametime. In that situation, I really should middle myself for a guaranteed win (and potential double-win) by taking Bills +14.5 but I just think New England is gonna roll here at home, too much for the lowly Bills. Let it ride and FADE BILL BROWNS!

Great read concerning overvalued favourites/public teams and subsequent plays on the corresponding underdogs... A good read for anyone tailing; it might open your eyes to how risky what I am doing actually is.

naa, i knew you were talking about the Bills and Browns...  The thing is eventually the books will have to compensate and make their spreads huge that we will have to bet on them..

DJ- die hard browns fan, but you are 100% right. This may be the goy... B-more is always tough in home openers and the browns have major issues espescially on the o-line.. This has all the makings of 35-7 blowout. g/l

Like I've said from the beginning... the books CAN'T make the lines high enough for these two goober teams because if they do, the sharps and myself will pound the other side. Just try and open a line of more than 17 points in today's NFL and see how fast it gets HAMMERED.
