Minnesota dominated that game in every single aspect?
Sure, Minnesota dominated in total plays and, therefore, total yards, but lost every single category which mattered.
Score Red Zone Efficiency Turnovers
That's all that matters.
If Favre would have just ran the ball, it might have been a different outcome.
You are correct the only thing that mattered is the score but the reality is the coach blew the game with one of the dumbest mistakes in profootball playoff history, lucky for him Favre threw the pick or that is what we would be talking about. The Favre hatters don't want to see he actually did put them in long fieldgoal range at about 51 yards with some excellent throws, the last throw would have never happened, saddly it did and now the hatters can forget how great he played in that game where his team was not blocking, he was getting beat up and his team was fumbling repeatly in the redzone.
I am okay with Childress but as a 35 to 40 year fan, I don't remember a mistake like that by a coach, a player posssibly but not a coaching move.
They asked him for 1 play too many when he had already made plays all day incuding the last drive, that is the facts.

I honestly don't like how he is or has handled this situation, but he basically earned it. Besides, I think that the Vikings know more than what we do... I'm more worried about our secondary than Favre having a good season.
With an offense like the Saints have, you better be worried my friend, Drew will eat your secondary up this season, and we will have an answer for the run game.
GO SAINTS

You cannot base a team's performance off of ONE GAME. Why don't you have unbiased opinions of the game. It's just praising the team you root for. Objectivity is a big part of it dipshit. I know that you live in retard island and believe in unicorns too.

Correct. I was at that game and sitting 5 rows from the field directly in front of Porter when he picked that 4th Quarter pass off. I was 100% expecting an AP run square up the middle for some bonus yards and then a Longwell FG for the win. When I saw Favre roll out, I had visions of that Eagles game dancing in my head....and when I saw Porter pick it off.....it was like a volcano went off in the Superdome.

The Vikings absolutely, positively DISMANTLED the Saints that game. I bet the Saints, and for me to even have a chance to win that game(I think I lost by a hook) was a complete and utter miracle. If those teams played again the following week, the linesmakers would have moved the line 5-6 points to Minny -2.5/-3. If Minny was -10 on the road the following week, I would bet Minny.

I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THERE ISN'T SOME MEASURE OF RESENTMENT TOWARD FARVE IN THE VIKINGS LOCKER ROOM. HIS UNWILLINGNESS TO PARTICIPATE IN TRAINING CAMP IS A TAKE CARE OF ME BRAND OF SELFISHNESS. YOU WOULD THINK THAT AFTER BEING IN THE LEAGUE FOR AS LONG AS HE HAS ---HE WOULD UNDERSTAND WHAT BEING PRESENT AMONG THE GUYS THAT WANT TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP ---JUST AS BADLY AS HE DOES---WOULD MEAN. LEADERSHIP HAS BEEN CAST ASIDE BY A SELF-SERVING PRIMA DONNA.

For some reason the Favre hatters don't understand how hard it is to get to the playoffs...get to a championship game...and then to win a championship. The players want to win a championship and regardless of what you think he probably was the third best QB in the league last year. MOST OF THE PLAYERS AREN'T GOING TO THE HALL OF FAME, THEY WANT A CHAMPIONSHIP RING..THAT IS WHAT I WOULD WANT AND I THINK THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT.
None of them are going to be 41 this year and they know how tough that must be but you being a fan think it is easy...guess when your on your couch it is.

THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH HATING BRETT FAVRE---AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH TEAM MENTALITY. IF HE SHOWED UP AT CAMP AND WASN'T READY TO BUST HIS ASS AT 100%---BUT HE WAS THERE AND SHOWED HE CARED ---GAVE THE OTHER GUYS SUPPORT AND INSPIRATION ---SHOWED THE BRAND OF LEADERSHIP THAT HE CERTAINLY IS CAPABLE OF----WHAT A DIFFERENCE THAT MIGHT MEAN. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE HIS HEAD IS---BUT IT CAN'T BE WITH HIS TEAM. HE IS A VETERAN THAT COULD MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE BY JOINING HIS TEAM AND SHARING HIS INTENSITY FOR WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP. THE CONNECTION ISN'T THERE----THIS IS ALL ABOUT ME NOW AND I'M AT A LOSS AS TO WHY.

I hope Fav-re is paying Desmond Howard royalties for every contract he has had since the super bowl that "he won".
Get your facts straight the packers were already ahead with favre two long tds and a favre td run around the end....the Howard td just put the game out of reach by 13 points...
Favre played well in both superbowls ...even though they lost one.
Watch the games instead of reading who was the MVP actually it was the defense that kept the patriots in check in the 4th quarter...
WATCH THE GAMES AND THEN COMMENT, THAT WAY YOU DON"T SOUND LIKE AN IDIOT.

THANK GOD IT'S OVER------AMONG ALL OF THE OTHER AWARDS AND RECORDS THAT HE HAS BEEN ABLE TO AMASS---THERE COULD BE ONE MORE --THAT BEING THE ABSOLUTE KING OF INDECISIVENESS. STRETCHING THIS OUT INTO THE 2ND WEEK OF TRAINING CAMP IS AS CLOSE TO A RATFUCK AS I'VE SEEN IN A WHILE.

I am more concerned about your remote wrist..obviously that is the only contact sport you ever have played.

I'm just tired of the soap opera dude as I am sure the team and the Mn. fans are too. This decision could have come months ago---the Vikings are a talented team and Jackson now has his chance to lead. Favre had an amazing career, and will be in the HOF . I would have bet serious dough that he was coming back---it is the timing that seems selfish. It's over---I hope and I wish the team and their fans well.

You really must get the Fav-re jism off your chin, it's sad. "Howard just put the game out of reach".....exactly thanks for proving my point lol.

carj needs to get rid of his Favre blow-up doll.Howard didn't just have a td return, he had well over 200 return yards(still a SB record) consistently putting GB in great field position.
