I usually don't do this, but I can resist responding to your bs thread calling a team that went to 5 AFC Championship games in a row - frauds.
I guess this was the one time in 10 they were going to beat the Eagles? Line opened as Chiefs -2.5 to suck in all that Philly money and boy did they.
Three consecutive tds to open the second half against the '85 Bears, hard to believe. Like someone said earlier Philly hadn't been tested yet? They failed.
And if you believe, we'll get them next year... Both coordinators gone, 18 Free Agents, 8 of them starters and Hurts gets paid, window closed, great fade material next season.
KC lost to TB because they had a black cloud over their head with Reid's drunk moron of a kid maiming a 5 year old girl earlier in the week. It's hard to compartmentalize that away. I discounted it and after seeing how listless they were, I had to admit I was wrong it did matter.

No black cloud. They lost because they're offensive line was decimated by injury. If they would've had even one of those injured linemen back they probably would've won.

Philly blew it....Philly might have been the "better football team" on paper.... but they definitely WERE NOT the better team that day....the better team had Patrick Mahomes at QB

The Eagles didn't dominate the trenches, like you predicted. The Chiefs had a better running game, and didn't give up one sack. Five AFC Championship appearances in a row. But watching their game against the Bengals, and then the SB, they are *clearly* the luckiest team.
The SB was decided by only 3 pts and they need the UNforced error by Hurts to gain a free gift 7 pts.....and later got a highly improbable lucky 62 yd punt return to set up another one at the 5 yard line. *LUCKY GUYS!* That's 14 pts on the board which Mahomes and their offense did NOT earn! Just that first lucky break fumble return TD was 7 free points in what was a 3 point game. Hell on that play they actually got *TWO* unforced lucky breaks - first with a five yard penalty for early movement, and then the fumble! Without that first unforced error on the OLine Hurts would have been 3rd and just one at midfield, and would not have been rolling right looking to throw then fumbling the ball. Nope! They got those one yard pushes EASILY all game. So it would have been first down inside KC half of the field with momentum behind them.
But two UNFORCED errors on the same down changed the game for the fortuitous Chiefs.
They needed both those "UNFORCED errors" and the highly improbable punt return just to stay in the game.
Without those lucky breaks it's a Philly win........but LADY LUCK was on their side that day

The Hurts' fumble for a TD and the 65 yard punt return by Toney setting up another TD accounted for 14 of those 38 points. At half down by 10 I thought my chances of a Chiefs' victory were dim. Then in the second half, KC gashed that Eagles' run D again and again...lights out.
Sad that the outcome of this hotly contested game came down to a ref's call with under 2 minutes on the clock. Someone said that Hurts played like Roger Staubach and I do see a similarity as he could beat you in the air and on the ground. Hurts played like a champ and he impressed the hell out of me.

I call bs on your hedging after going that far out on a limb with a 10pt lead at halftime...
So scoring 24pts in the second half against the supposed '85 Bears was "lucky"...
Hurts fumbled the ball, Chiefs luck had nothing to do with it. If they played again tomorrow, the Chiefs would beat them easily.
Philly was fortunate to get to the game with 2 tomato cans in the way (SF is awesome and would've certainly gave them a game in the NFC Champ game but Philly got "lucky" and knocked out the qb to make it no contest...
I guess KC was lucky Mahomes didn't get sacked the entire game as well. Some of the comments are just ridiculous starting with KC is a fraud team and continued with Chiefs got lucky to smoke them in the second half. Please.
