If you want to go game by game about how Dallas and Seattle won their games (2 at the gun wins vs the Cards, dumbas* McCarthy punting on 4th and 2, and the Carolina game) we can:

So let’s look at the Carolina game:

    4th and 3, Carolina up 7, Wilson throws a 35 yard bomb for a TD 27-27.

Carolina gets the ball back and drives downfield and misses a game winner. Seattle gets the ball with 1:30 after the miss and drives and kicks the game winner.

Then the Cards in the third game: Miss a game winner. Switch fields and Seattle hits a game winner.

Then the Packers with a 4th and 2 taking the ball out of Rodgers hands.

THese are not coin flips. In live betting Carolina was as high as a -600 favorite up 7. Then a heavy favorite driving for the win.

Same with the Cards.-300 driving for the game winner.

You want stats? Translate those ML’s into percentages if you want stats and tell me those are coin flip wins.

Compare this to Dallas’ win over the mighty Saints up 13-0 ending 13-10. Was that a “coin flip” for Dallas where they lead pillar to post?

I can play the numbers game too. Except I WATCH the games and know what went down at the final gun. BANG! I don’t have an excel spreadsheet spitting out gobbledegook to bolster a point of mine.

Come out of the computing clouds and put away the pocket protector crap away and exchange it for REAL capping. And tail this if you want a winner. Nuff said.

Your bringing up Seattle's close wins but not all their close losses, you need to look at both.

Sure Seattle had close wins, every team does, but they also had 6 close losses that count as well, they could have lost those games you mentioned but won the same number or more of the close losses .

Not many know or understand regression, not even some of the best most popular and famous web sites, I see this year after year after year that people are fooled by regression and they try to use a deep in regression loss by a team  as a basis for a future game

The Saints were very, very deep into regression coming off a series of unsustainable level of play.

They were more then ready to regress as a team and as an offense which I called at the time.

History supports Saints regressing VS Dallas not nessacarily because Dallas played well.    Dallas was more lucky to catch the best team they played in the best of spots.

I see guys talking the same thing on other regression losses in this years playoffs.

    Now you are equivocating:

We are not talking “close” wins. We are talking literal “coin flip” wins of which the Hawks had 3 and 4 if McCarthy decides to run a play on 4th and 2.

The league is all about close games because it manufactures parity for entertainment. The lines literally dictate all games should/could be close.

But when you look at the bouncing ball, the games where the ball fortuitously bounces in Seattle’s favor at the perfect time, you see this is far more an 8 win team than a ten win one.

And I fully agree about regression:

Seattle’s RSW will be grossly inflated next year at 8.5/9 wins and I will POUND the under once again.

Boneheaded coaches with a run defense getting gashed can’t punt the ball to you with 4 minutes and one timeout every game.

Like you could replace Achillies or Scal anyway? They are the President and VP of the nut house and they are on here 24/7/365. Who has that kind of time?

Please tell us....what do you offer this site? Why are you here? You a cherry picker of plays? A voice of reason when it comes to buying points?  You can get defensive and try arguing with everyone or you can just say you offer NOTHING. You NEVER post plays and NEVER offer insight. These are facts. Go sit back on the sidelines man. It would be amazing to see you create a thread with some posted plays and some analysis but we both know that won’t happen. I’m of high status at the nuthouse yet you can’t stay away from my threads and my posts. Gotcha.

Gotcha.

I will say that your ignorance to my contributions to this site does not surprise me. You would be richer and be wiser if you had ever ventured into the areas where real money is made, as opposed to the gambling side where we gamblers must pay a 5-10% or more in "admission cost" for the privilege of getting involved in a 52/48 proposition (I’m giving you credit here!). Check out the investments areas if you are interested in making real money instead of gambling while laying vig. I gamble for entertainment, where my typical bet is a meaningless and miniscule percentage of my total net worth, and invest to make money. The facts speak for themselves and the odds that you are making serious money gambling are woefully not in your favor, regardless of your amazing “reported” win/loss records. For 2019, I wish you the best and hope that your condescending personality continues to flourish for all to see! Good luck!

I’m condescending? Really? And you aren’t? Go back and read your bullsh@t in my thread chief. You insinuate I’m here to misguide people and you say I can’t cap YET WHERE ARE IS YOUR CAPPING? See that is the point your small size brain hasn’t grasped. You call people out yet there is no evidence on this forum that you know anything or add anything here. You don’t understand that? You come out of nowhere all the time uninvited because you just can’t stay away. You offer nothing and that gets under your skin. You sit atop your fake mountain and assume that i and many others are handcuffed just to the “gambling side of things”. Please......I don’t EVER approach you because again, you don’t offer much here yet you always find your way into here. Why is that?

How about I haven’t even clicked on one of your threads (nevermind comment in it) because it’s akin to the Capping Ebola Virus, the first symptom of which is displayed by you through your incoherent babble, otherwise known as “Verbal Excrement”.

I have a bar. Your threads are not under the bar, their actually contaminating the bar.

All the squares are enamored with Seattle and their late season playoff run but the reality is they had to beat the worst team in the league, the Cards, by not one but two at the gun the field goals, both games with something on the line (the first, their season on the line at 0-2 and possibly falling to 0-3 and the second their playoff position, even though Minnesota faded late).

This is a revenge spot for Dallas having lost earlier in the season to them when they were just putting things together.

The reality, as the squares fall continue their never ending love affair with Wilson and pom-pom waving Carroll, is this:

When Seattle plays a stout run defense against a good team? They lose.

And that is the PERFECT formula for a loss by Seattle here on the road against an excellent run defense with rested players (and coming off an exhilarating, momentum building win over the Giants, which cost me dearly by the way).

Played the Bears #1 Rush D? Lost 24-17 going away
Played the Chargers #9 Rush D? Lost 25-17 at home

Even the next best run defense was a loser, and not even to a good team.

Played the Niners #14 Rush D (only slightly above average?): Lost 26-23 on the road.

While the running game was not completely shut down in all three, it certainly causes Seattle to have an alternative game plan, which rests simply on the improvisation of Wilson and his arm. There is nothing else Seattle has in store. We've seen this time and time again. Wilson is great but you can only put so many throws on a dime in perfect spots for wins late. And in the playoffs on the road, the difficulty level is extreme.

And that is not enough in this revenge spot, with a desperate Cowboys team looking to prove something, anything, to a long-starved fan base at home AGAIN in the playoffs looking to avoid another Tony Romo botched snap (and believe me, there are squares betting Seattle because of that).

Give me the FanDuel ML, at the best price (a penny for a full point), at home, with revenge, with momentum, with long-starved playoff success aspirations, with rest, against a Seattle team that over performed and are priced at a premium.

EVERYTHING I lost ($3,000) on the RSW Under 7.5 comes back right here...for me and the guys I cost money here tailing that one.

    DALLAS ML over SEATTLE

    3 Grand

Some additional "Locker Room" motivation for the Cowboys that nobody has mentioned yet.

I will be at the game this weekend and I was at the game last year on Christmas Eve 12/24/2017 when Seattle came into AT&T Stadium and eliminated Dallas from their post season hopes 21-12.  This was a very painful loss for this team that was 8-6 and had won 3 games in a row prior to this loss to Seattle.

I think Dallas returns the favor this weekend and I cannot see the Cowboys getting beat by Seattle 3 straight times in 12 1/2 months and I put several dimes on this game before leaving Vegas this morning that I plan to pick-up with interest when I return in a few weeks for the Super Bowl.

    BOL......I really like the play!!!!

Achillies...the advice I gave on never buying points should end up saving people money for anyone smart enough to listen. So there's that! bigsmile It might even save you a few bucks! bigsmile

And just like there is no rule for posting picks 19 seconds before kickoff, there is no rule that I have to actually give picks on games at all. My contributions atop my fake mountain from my small pea brain in the investment section is apparently all I have to offer in your opinion. I recall last year or the year before that virtually everyone on this site had abandoned your threads because of the way you act and converse with people and I remember you actually disappeared for a short time. "You doing you" and being yourself invites all of your troubles. You could learn a lot from LC. Will you?

All this talk about “I can’t” and indigestion isn’t going to cut it.

You buck up and put your money on Dallas. There are 9 games left to bet on and one CFB game. Make them count.

Seattle better rushing team per game

Seattle better QB by a wide margin

Dallas knows how to lose playoff games. Garrett has to prove to me he can prepare a team to win a playoff game. I know Pete Carroll can.

Those 3 things alone make me stay away from this game. I have my reasons to back Dallas as well, but again, I won't touch it.

Best of luck Scal. I hope you win. I'm a Cowboys fan since 1983, so I'm hoping you're on point with this one peace_5

Will you?

The fact that you keep going on and on here when I could give a sh@t about your antics and fake persona....it’s sad. You offer ME nothing. I know you want to feel important but not here.  Here’s an idea: Buy a gallon of paint and a paintbrush. Go paint your “investment room”. When you are done.....go watch the paint dry. Come back and give some insight as to what you learned. I’m betting that how you felt while watching that paint dry is very similar to how I feel when you post. Bored, disinterested and most of all.....let me know when it’s over with. Move along now or don’t. “Do you”.....

@Don’t, come on. I’ve never seen so much love for a QB like I’m seeing for Wilson here.

The same love isn’t even given to Brady.

It’s really incredible. Just gushing for the guy.

You can’t cap games like this folks. QB’s head coaches are a STARTING point. The nuances (psychological angles being an example) reign supreme. To the man who studies those nuances, god’s the capping spoils.

Wilson has that effect on people, including on his own teammates

Who are you to tell people how to cap?

Cap 70% in a year or 65% over two and get back to me and then I may address you as an equal.

Just the fact you even post 50 games in one CFB weekend (yes one time you dropped FIFTY) shows me you are far worse than the typical square who plays those $5 14 team parlay cards for 100K.

If a noob came to Covers and asked what’s the number one pitfall he should avoid, I honestly would say “Opening a Train Thread. If ya do it, here’s a gun so you can blow your brains out. Because like Medusa, there’s no unseeing it.”

Russel has had 3 playoff games as underdogs of 3 or less points

    1/17/16 SEA (+2.5) @ CAR L 24-31, did not cover

    2/02/14 SEA (+2.5) v DEN W 43-8, covered

    1/13/13 SEA (+3.0) @ ATL L 28-30, covered

So he lost his 2 away appearances as underdog, going 1-1 ATS

Not exactly a slam dunk check mark in the "QB category"
