You're a pretty knowledgeable guy but you have a victim mentality. You know well that football is a 60 minute game, not a 56 minute game. If you had won these bets you would also say that you had the right side, despite being on the 'wrong' side for 56 minutes of the game.
Remember week 17 when the Jets stunk it up all game? But they were right in the game til the end? If you won that bet you'd have been happy and calling it the right play.
The way I look at the Toussaint fumble is that the Steelers finally paid the price for having an undrafted 3rd string RB playing. Of course.
Perhaps if the Broncos receivers didn't dropped half a dozen passes(at least) we wouldn't even be talking about this but you will warp the story to suit your bias. It's human nature but you ought to realise it

We all get those feelings, and even more intensely we when lose on a crazy bad beat like a hail mary or something. You just gotta remember that it all evens out, sometimes you're on the side that gets lucky and sometimes you're on the side that gets lucky. Our brains have a tendency to remember the things that go against as and attribute them as bad luck and we forget about the things that go in our favor and say it's because we're right.
Perfect example would be in NBA, if you bet the over and it's going under all game then you get overtime and win you're not gonna be like geez I got so lucky, you're gonna feel like you deserved to win and vice versa if you were on the opposite side.
Life's a funny game As long as you put in the hard yards you'll come out on top in the long run.
