I use sagarin ratings and sos as part of my nfl and college football analysis . He stopped doing NBA and NHL back in February, not sure if he is done doing ratings or is incapacitated and won’t be doing them this year .
if you know a website that provides BOTH Rank and Schedule Strength for either or both NFL or college, please list them - thanks in advance .

They were usually with a point or two of each other. I think of Sagarin as superior because they were/are used in the NCAA basketball tournament selection and seeding.

I have heard that those setting the lines have used Massey Ratings as a guide to do so, but that is not etched in stone.
Wouldn't surprise me they use Massey ratings as their baseline and add their own spin to the formula.
I like to look at those ratings they seem to be more accessible to me than the Sagarin ratings. The updates to his ratings don't seem to be as timely as Massey's.
Sip on that plus money honey!

KenPom is the current king of NCAABB power ratings. Joe Fortenbaugh has mentioned those ratings several times on ESPN Bet Live.

Massey has Ravens as the #1 power rated team heading into training camp, took over the Eagles #1 spot after end of season. Interesting.
Also swapped spots with Eagles on the offensive ratings from #3 going to #4. Gonna compare the two to see what's changed basically the same roster with the addition of D. Hop for Balty and AJ Dillon for Philly. Interestingly, Packers defense move up and bump Philly out of the #2 spot in Massey ratings. Ravens rated as #1 on defense.
Balty projected future SOS to be 11th hardest while Philly projected to have 6th hardest. Meanwhile KC projected to have the 19th hardest *grumble*

Idk, I use Massey, ESPN, and inpredictable and noticed that Massey would totally inflate the larger spreads into even larger spreads than the market had. My Massey-based picks would kill my winrate on large spread games, so I became wary of that.
Anyone else notice that? Inpredictable seems to be the best

EDIT: that said, it appears that Inpredictable, instead of Massey, inflates the larger spreads (top 3 and bottom 3) into even larger spreads than the market had.
EDIT 2: does Inpredictable update ratings fast enough? Last one is from december 2024.

Inside the link is the power rankings from Steve Makinen of VSIN. Makinen used to work for Statfox. Scroll 1/3 of the way down. You will see the teams in their respective divisions. The 1st highlighted area is SM PR which is Steve Makinen power rating. He updates his power ratings on a weekly basis during the regular season. I hope this helps.
