Rare POY brewing in the Forecast for Week 9

I don't congratulate touts who deserve Zero respect. praising themselves for winning a play when they are 3 - 6 on th eday

It was a valid POY if you consider the David/Goliath aspect of it. Considering also how many people here posted how stuipid it was to even think that it was posible.  If anyone else has a pick where they suspect that a far superior team will lose to a low life team ats or su please let us know.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, and support.  I do have to say, I am surprised at how much of the bashing and false accusations is tolerated and allowed to continue. It's highly disappointing, and definitely ruins the fun.  I would have definitely expected a backlash of some kind if the POY would have failed, but that's not the case. Normally I would disregard the drama induced comments, but I have to stand my ground when the false accusations and garbage continues to be posted.  On another note, I do have to say that I am not only surprised, but happy to see some familiar faces still stick around after they put themselves out there this week in regards to this football game in such a negative manner and with such hostility. The fact that someone would still come back after all that non-sense is enough for a round of applause.

There was really only one game that really mattered this weekend, but overall, the rest of the Forecast didn't go as well going 4-7-1ATS on sides and 2-1 on the warm front, but that's okay.  Sometimes that's how it goes sometimes. 

Thanks again to the majority out there that were open with the play, and posted their thoughts and analysis in a mature and respectful manner regardless of what the side was, and certainly congratulations to those that were on Detroit this afternoon.

Let's hope that out of the 50,000 views, that you were the only one that decided to play the Jets.  I am not sure what I did to you that has warranted such hatred, false accusations, and bashing...but whatever you are going through, I hope that you get it worked out. If it's one thing I hate, it's negativity and poor attitudes.  I just come around here for leisure and fun, post my plays and move on. it's ironic how often i come into a random thread only to see you being a jerkoff once again.

How on earth did you end up with the Raiders-3. That game ended up with the Chiefs laying 1. That sucks, should have been a win. As far as the Lions go, I loved the pick. Had them on the money line and + 4 1/2. If they didn't lose their kicker for the extra point, the Jets would have had to try for the TD not the field goal at the end of the game. Not to mention losing Stafford. The Lions was a stellar pick which should have won the game outright. You were dead on with that pick!!!!

I don't know when, where and why URISS decided to attack FF, but let's put this behind us fellas.  Floyd, your write-ups and record is always appreciated.  Your expert analysis is always helpful for those of us that are not quite the level of capper that you are.  Thanks for the DET +4.  My book had them at +4.5  and my research said Jets by a FG, usually in a case like that I wouldn't play a game that was that tight, but with your prediction matching my #'s I went with ya and hit. It was a small hit, but I want to thank you for your availabilty, candor and courteous manner in the coovers community.

Uriss, you are one of the best cappers I have ever seen on Covers.  I've used the sight for research and info for a long time and of all those I've seen come and go over the past few years, your knowledge and leans are among the most solid.  I want to thank you for the insight and assistance you have supplied for us lesser experienced players.

 Now, with the props and generosity out of the way, I want to say this.  Let's not allow ourselves to get involved in this juvenille and amateurish name calling and rude behavior.  Uriss, you are tarnishing your rep as one of covers most popular and enjoyable posters and cappers.  I agree with your point about Floyd being a bit over the top with his POY commentary so often.  But, if you have a problem with that type of thing, u should start your own thread with the title call attention it.  To come into Floyd's thread and bombard it with very vicious and cruel attacks is just not necessary. That said I still have mad respect for both of ya and value both of your viewpoints.  So yes, Floyd does have a bit of a tendancy to tout and yes, in this thread Uriss acted like a fat jerk.  Doesn't mean that you guys are both definded by what happened here and now.  GL to both ya'll and let's move onward in

I appreciate your kind words, but really, you guys need to research all of my threads that I have posted on here before you make these kinds of false accusations about how I handle myself as a whole.  My last POY was 04/07/09.  And as far as my over the top commentary is concerned that you stated, I take it you haven't been in any of my football threads other than this one? This was a rare play, my play of the year, it worked out....it's time to move on. My commentary if anything is very low key, and far from being over the top.

I am moving forward, I don't need to defend myself when the facts are clear about how I handle myself and have handled myself on here.  I will stand my ground and defend myself from false accusations like all this tout non-sense, and bashing that is far from warranted.

I take back what I said.  I was wrong in typing that I agree with what Uriss had said.  The point I wanted to make was that he is entitled to his opinion and if you saw the other segment of my commentary that u didn't bold, I stated that I feel if Uriss wants to scream and shout and label you a tout and accuse you of being a POY addict than he should do it in his own thread and if people agreed they could go there and have a bash Floyd party without obstructing and annoying those of us who appreciate your input.  I apologize for typing those sentences the way  I did.  I don't think you are a tout.  I was surprised this week when it took you so long to post your play or even mention the teams after creating the POY thread.  I felt this was sort of toutish, I did not want imply that you deserve such a label and you are right, the POY tag, after looking back through all your stellar info you have graciously shared with us, is not something you abuse and throw around willy nilly.
