Well that was one of the lesser teams in the NFL they lost to......what positives do you honestly believe people to take out of that game?



there was nothing positive to take from that game, much like every other nfl game where a "bad" team beats a good one (happens all the time including to the pats team you are now praising, how quickly we forget)...

everyone is on the pats. they will not consistantly put up 35+ pts. the QB maybe out but the defense is still there. pack keep it close in a 17 27 pats win.

i dont blame you, like i said i damn sure wont be hammering gb as @ne is not the time to be risking anything significant, honestly i almost never bet against ne at home, all im saying is i do feel this line is a little overblown do to Rodgers being out when ppl more in the know than me seem to be pretty high on Flynn....

does that = gb covering? maybe/maybe not, hell i didnt even come in here to talk about who to bet as im not even sure, just got annoyed reading "Flynn is garbage" based off what ppl saw last week....i would think knowledgeable ppl would know better than to base much of a opinion off of 1 nfl game where shit happens to every team and every player from time to time..gl with your play

Dude. Are you kidding me? Don't overthink this one. GB is down and Rodgers was that team. Tom Brady and the Patriots don't "let up." This offense is fast and efficient. Before the other team knows it they have 21 points. GB CANNOT match them for their scores. GB D is good but so was Pitt, and Jets, and Chicago, etc... At home in December - I smell blood. NE 34-GB 7.

the spread up to 14.5 now.  but i still believe patriots cover this.  packers cant run..  brady can move ball and score..  new england defense will get some turnovers and have short field to score..

So we've got an underdog in Foxborough whose quarterback got knocked out of the game last week.  They're going up against the highest scoring team in the NFL, led by a legendary quarterback who's helped his team roll up over 80 points the last two weeks in blowout wins, but tonight, they'll have to make do with an unknown second year quarterback leading them, and as a result, the oddsmakers have made this team a 14-point underdog.  They should have no chance to win, right?  I'd think so, too, if I hadn't seen this movie before. 

In Foxborough.  Ten years ago.

Pats clinched a playoff berth..... packers still fighting for a spot.... A pats victory is almost guaranteed here but by 2 TD's??? Leaning packers here but I am definitely fade material considering the shitstorm i endured on saturday's card

The Patriots beat the Jets 45-3 and they beat the Bears 36-7.  Over the last dozen seasons, only eight teams have won back-to-back games where they:

 

1) scored at least 30 points in each

2) scored 40 or more in at least one of the games

3) allowed no more than 10 points combined in the two games

 

In other words, two monster blowouts.  Believe it or not, these eight seemingly unstoppable juggernauts went a pitiful 0-7-1 ATS the following week, and half of them lost outright!
