one bad game will not be enough to buck bettors off the Jets. People have not seen Detroit`s offense because they have not been on primetime. Detroit will have to win a game on primtetime before the public will even take a sniff.

Anyone who watched the skins vs lions would have seen that Stafford was off on quite a few deep balls and still managed to put up 37 on a relatively sound redskin defense.

Jets have a great run defense but Lions will be throwing not running. Oh, and Stafford is better than Sanchez by a mile.

Do you people even "LOOK" at stats before you post garbage? Sound Redskin defense? Try #24 of 32 teams in scoring defense rank. And Detroit is a pile of crap also...#22. Ya think that may be a clue why the Detroit total has gone "over" 8 of their last 10 games dating back to pre-season? Yes, they're better than the 1-15 team. But the Jets are #2 in scoring defense. Yes, they are susceptible to the pass at #18 in the league. Detroit is #19. A notch below them. Only argument for the Lions is that Stafford "IS" better than Sanchez so far this season in the passing department. Lions will have a shot. But you're posting things when you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. The Lions beat Washington who has a VERY unsound defense. And people think that was a surprise? The line is off, but it's because the Jets can't pass and all a smart coach has to do is have his team stop the run early and force Sanchez to cut his own throat and pass. Lions might win but not because they have a good defense. Because the Jets are lousy and Sanchez looked decent last year and is drinking his own Kool-Aid.

You "are" on the right track on one thing. The public hasn't seen Detroit and all they remember is a lousy 1-15 Lions team and a Jets team that nearly went to the Super Bowl last year. Nobody seems to think to type a few keystrokes and check stats and that's why the majority of people are "gamblers" and why sportsbooks clean house. Here's a nice hint if you want to play this game and win...take the OVER now, before it goes up and have fun watching.

And by the way, the Redskins are #30 of 32 teams in pass defense...which goes a long way toward explaining how Stafford put up 37 on them. And...in case you didn't watch the game or don't have Sunday Ticket, the Lions were extremely lucky to win that game! I mean c'mon...23 points in the 4th quarter? And 13 of that came in the last 4 minutes. Stafford is decent but without a complete Redskin collapse, the Lions lose that game by at least a touchdown to a VERY crappy Redskin team. Just thought that needed to be added for those who are considering the Lions plus 3.5 to 4 points. They're NOT as good as you make them sound. They've beaten a grand total of TWO teams that rank 16th and 22nd in scoring offense. If that impresses you then you need to cash out at your book and mow the lawn or shovel snow on Sundays. How good do you have to be to beat Washington and St. Louis...a pair of 4-4 teams? Not saying it'll matter here but it's a step up in class to play the Jets. And Rex Ryan is going to be pissed off! And what happened last time the Jets lost? Christ! I can't believe I have to tell people this. It was the first game of the season against the #5 scoring defense in the league. And what did they do? Trounced New England the next week 28-14. You people jumping all over the Lions because they were lucky enough to beat one of the worst defenses in the league last week are outright nuts! I don't like either team but I can tell you this. if I were going to wager on the game I'd be on the Jets or nobody. Talk about over-rated all of a sudden. Backing the Lions because they beat Washington? Really??

There has to be money on Detroit in order for it to be lost.  The pressure is on the Jets. 

Sanchez is not the one who dropped 8 of his passes  last week also the Jets play well on the road. Now as a biased Jets fan I feel confident in victory and I never bet them anyway. They should cover 3.5 easy -- and BTW I did take GB with the 6.5 last week in a non bet situation -  Jets usually crap the bed after a bye week with hight expectations -- Jets should win by at least 1 TD -- BOL TO ALLl

Shrynn; i never said it was greatest defense ever, i said relatively sound, and they had 4 games where they held formidable opponents to 14 pts or less. As for the lions, yes i did watch the game and i do believe they were the much better team the entire game. If you think i am a fool and want to talk yourself into backing the jets, fine, but back the Jets at your own peril because they will not cover and that i promise.

the "public" will be on the jets and that worries me...so thats why the OVER is the way to go here ....teams that score 0 the previous week normally bounce back well the following week especially playoff quality teams like the JETS(these guys are pro's). I think either way spread(3.5) or OVER your good here BOL to all...and the line will be moving all week so get it in quick!

 

9 wings I can promise you this...the JETS D is a lil different then the deadskins D pal. Megatron will not be catching everything in 1 on 1 coverage b/ the JETS will make nate burleson and company try to beat them not Megatron. If the deadskins double cover that guy then they win the game but for some reason they decided 1 on 1 coverage in the red zone was the way to go...and then lets put rex grossman in the game?   The detroit win was a gift...and the last for a while for Detriot ....please post how much your going to lose on the Lions so we can all laugh at you while our book's pay us for taking the jets.

its funny, just last year, the Jets come flying out of the gate and beat Houston, NE and Tennessee, and then went on to lose 6 of their next 7 games including 2 in a row after their week 9 bye!!!

lets look at this year... lost to Balt at home, beat Pats and Fins and then beat 3 teams who are in shambles; Buffalo, Minnesota and Denver, and then get shutout at home off their bye and yet still remain crowned by the public. Keep in mind the public took quite a beating last year as they had jumped on the Jets ship and cut the rope, this year should be no different.
