Good to see you back again this week man. Quite a game between Houston and Washington last week wasn't it?!
I like every single one of your picks this week. Good writeups as well. I think if Dallas can play together, something they haven't been able to do yet this season, they will not only cover, but they will win. A few key dynamics that I want to see out the gate are:
The offensive line must protect. Romo has look rushed and uncomfortable both weeks. Granted they were playing teams with good defenses in Chicago and Washington, but the timing was off and it showed. Also, the line must create holes for the run game. Choice, Barber, and Jones all have potential to have big games. The Texans were able to stop the run last week because Washington's RB's are OLD!!!! They cut Larry Johnson this week and signed Chad Simpson. Not sure why they ever wanted Johnson to begin with, but that's getting off the subject! Look for Dallas to try and pound the ball to get a feel for the Houston D line. I think the Dallas D can contain the Texans, but the offense is going to have to put points on the board. I'd like to say that Dez Bryant is going to have to finally get seriously involved, but I'm not sure how much we'll see out of him with this rib injury business going on. I like the Boys also because the public jumped all over Houston with that -3 line. I know I was backing Houston last week, but I truly felt the Skins would not win that game. Didn't think it would happen like it did though
. To me, Vegas set the Hou/Dal line at 3 to entice bettors to take Houston. Hell, they're at home and they beat the Colts badly week one and pulled off one hell of a win last week against the Skins. However, I, like you think that the Cowboys are going to play do or die football. Essentially this week will dictate the way the rest of their season will go. Do you think the Boys can dig out of a 0-3 hole not only in the NFC, but in their own division? Maybe, but not likely. The bye next week plays a huge factor to me also. I think Dallas will play hard nose football and use the extra week to nurse their wounds. BOL on all of your plays![]()

yeah i enjoy the back and forth between you and glyde, by far one of the best threads each week without the BS too ![]()
already made my picks this week and have bal-10.5 but staying away from the chicago green bay game. chicago has looked good so far but, like new orleans, green bay has won both games even if not looking great in either. let philly back in it late when vick came in, and wasn't beating up on buffalo til about half way through the third quarter. can't really back chicago though especially because green bay swept them last year but only by 6 and 7 pts. gl whichever way you go with it depending how the weekend plays out maybe i'll change my mind but as of now not willing to risk my money on this one ![]()

The more I look at my Pitt bet, the less I like it. I'm still steamed that I let my 4pm emotions get to me(Wash-Oak debacles) and washed that Indy play last week, so there's no fucking way I am going that route again. Although if by some chance the line floats to 3.5, I will go for a middle.
Yesterday I watched the Tennessee-Pittsburgh shortcut and that was a downright vicious game. Those teams beat the absolute piss out of each other, and Pitt's D was gassed in the 4th quarter. Some good fights too. Watching Hines Ward get manhandled by some giant Tennessee lineman was great(he never backed down though).
I'm not big on laying the big wood, but I'm starting to dig Minnesota -11 or so(10 would be dandy). Jahvid Best seems to be the hot upcoming star in the league, but most of his damage has been done on screen/swing passes(only has 90 on the ground in two games), and from what I have seen the Vikings defend well against RB's coming out of the backfield. Looking back over the first two games of this season and going back into November of last season, very few teams are beating them on swings and screens. In fact, if you take the two games against the Saints out of the equasion(a team whose offense THRIVES on screens), Minny gives up almost nothing. And if you take away the swings and screens from Best, Detroit has NOTHING to fall back to on offense. A 4 man rush with the Williams boys clogging the middle, and Edwards and Allen bringing pressure from the corners should both stop the run completely and harass Hill into making bad throws. That frees up the secondary to ballhawk and create turnovers.
Seattle +6 intrigues me as well. This is kind of a gut play. Seattle has been stellar against the run(shutting down Gore and Moreno), and this is a game where I think SD is gonna push extra hard to control the ground game. Crowd will be buzzing. SD typically lethargic early in the season especially against weaker opposition. I don't know. Just one of those bets where my gut buzzes and buzzes until I lock it up. Probably a 4:12pm bet if things went well at 1pm.

Andy, you got an opinion on the Buffalo-NE game? I won't touch that with a 10 foot pole, but I'm working on my work pool pick'em(with spreads), and that's the one game I haven't made a pick on yet.
Stupid shit, I know, but one game might be the difference between the 2K final season prize and second place. Who will get in my way this year? In the last 5 years, I lost by a game or two by.........
2008- The guy who bets by saying a Lion could take a Bear in a fight. Or the Chargers defeat everything because electricity rules all. He also took every dog who was +10 or more. Between the asinine kid shit, DD dogs going like 22-1 that year, and the Chargers being money ATS, he squeaked it out.
2007- Lost by 1 point to the guy who let his 7 year old daughter make the picks(little bitch was on FIRE that year).
2005- Lost on the Week 17 tiebreaker to the guy who didn't watch a game of football all year, but had his wife flip a coin for each game(strangely he averaged 30th place out of 34 the other 4 years).
Enough ranting about the one random asshole who fucks up my work pool! ![]()

Yea, Ive been a big Brian Cushing fan for awhile. Once he gets back in week 5, look out! That defense is night and day without him. Thats the bigger suspension that has really hurt the D
Abso-fucking-lutely!!!!![]()
