Dallas is going to be putrid this year.  Fade them at all costs.

I like GB beating Seattle in Seattle.

I think Bengals get a W on the road at Bmore.

I think the Bucs win at home.

I think the Miami game will be close, either way by 3 points imo. I'd give Miami the nod for being at home.
I think the Cowboys will compete in this game for a while but then the final score will be at least a 17 point difference. Cowboys can't stop anything on defense. They couldn't last year and they've gotten significantly worst. Unless Romo can play like he did vs Denver last year (without the pick at the end), Cowboys get destroyed.

I don't think Peyton loses the Broncos home opener, just can't see it happening.

But hey, for 350-1, it's worth a shot! Good Luck!!

I think Peyton is washed up and the Colts are on the rise, and the league has wised up to Kaepernicks abilitys and the oddsmakers set this line just low enough to get a lot of SF money. Try finding someone who likes Dallas week 1

Train, I usually like what you say and what you post, but I will agree with best_bets... How do you figure that Manning is "washed up"?  No one will argue that he is getting older and that an injury or 3 more years of Football will certainly mean retirement, but until that happens, there's no evidence at all to support that he's washed up...

He had not only the best year of HIS career last year, but potentially the best year any QB has ever had statistically.  His receiving core didn't really get significantly worse, and his defence got much better which just leads to him being on the field more...

I'm not opposed to betting Indy in week 1, as I've been leaning that way since I posted my futures a month ago, but saying Peyton is washed up is just silly.

I also would never bet Dallas in this spot.  Vegas will see tonnes of money go on SF, but I think it is entirely for the right reasons.  Dallas' defence cannot keep up with SF, and the 49ers have the same team as last year that was one play shy of winning the Superbowl (in my opinion they would have rolled Denver).

Otherwise I like the other dogs in there.  How do you feel about the Saints?  I know people are expecting a resurgent Falcons team, but this is close to the best I've seen a Saints team in recent memory.

Also the Titans?  I know that sounds retarded, but they're playing a Chiefs team that over performed last year and I truly have no idea what to expect out of Tennessee this year.

Anyways, best of luck as always.

Washed up may have been too strong a term, but the Manning isnt close to the qb he was 10 years ago. He cant move at all, his arm strength is diminishing and he cant throw the deep ball well anymore. Add to that he is always worried about taking a big hit (as he should be after his neck surgery).

PM is still a great qb & washed up was too strong. Winding down his career sounds better.

Saints will be all right. Atlanta simply doesnt have "it" for some reason. Getting SJ was a big mistake imo.

I may take Tenn + the points, but KC is super tough at Arrowhead and the Titans are gonna be a cellar dweller this year.

I am starting to like Dallas more and more. havent seen one post in this forum that likes them, and many have SF as their top play. Nothing is expected of dallas for the 1st time in awhile, so that should help. SF defense is gonna be tough again, but I think they will come back down to earth. As far as the Dallas defense, they can only improve. Expect SF to play vanilla and run the ball. On paper, this line should be SF -7, even on the road.

    Cant wait.

I will be surprised if Indy doesn't beat Denver. Colts are the better all-around team, and Luck will be a beast this year.

Would be shocked if Dallas beats the 49ers... I understand the mentality that nobody will be betting on them, and therefore you are siding with Vegas, but I just don't see how they pull it off.

Still worth a shot, I guess!

I don't get this position at all.  I said this in a different thread, but name one player on the colts that is better at his position than his counterpart on the Broncos.  Now, since you say they are an all around better team, you should be able to easily name 5....right?  I don't get the urge to fade the Broncos at home, in prime time, opening night, with Manning wanting revenge.

Manning was the consensus top player in football last year, hands down.

    DT > Wayne
    Welker > Hilton
    Sanders > Nicks
    Ball > Richardson
    Orange Julius >>> Fleener
    Broncos O-line >>> Colts O-Line
    D-Ware/Miller >>>>>>>>> Werner/Walden....aka who?
    Talib > Davis
    Harris > Toler
    Ward > Landry

    Shall I go on?

    PLUS they're at home.

PLEASE explain to me why you'd be so shocked if the Broncos won.

Bucs are a huge sleeper this year. Finally got a decent coach in there & Josh McCown is very underrated IMO. Vincent Jackson & Mike Evans=deep balls on deck. They also have a good group of RBs & improved on defense.

I think Hilton maybe be better than Wayne at this point honestly, but there's no way Wayne is better than DT.  You think Elway would take a straight up trade for Wayne this year?  Obviously he wouldn't for because of age reasons.  But even if you could somehow magically make it a one year trade, it'd never happen.

Bleacher report has DT #11 and Welker #14, with Wayne and Hilton #16 and #25 respectively.  Obviously DTs stats were better than anyone on the Colts last year.  And yes Wayne was hurt, but the last 2 years, DTs stats have been better than ANY year that Wayne has ever put together.  Football outsiders has DT as the top receiver in the NFL last year in DYAR (Defense-adjusted yards above replacement).  Wayne is a stud, but his prime has come and gone.  DT is only gonna get better over the next few years.  Faster, stronger, taller. Better.

Another example - DT #6 in the league...Wayne no where to be found.

old qb that can't run to save his life. think he can take a hit? those are very good player vs player stats (pff haha not) but it's a team game and we'll see who comes together after the coin toss week 1. if manning was number one, why'd the seahawks rape him so bad on this biggest stage?
