As for veterans who will be given Sunday off: Clinton Portis, Jason Taylor, Carlos Rogers, Chris Samuels and London Fletcher will not play. Cornelius Griffin and a handful of other guys may not play either, and Zorn said the team will decide soon whether Rocky McIntosh will participate. (My guess: I doubt it, given the five preseason games.)
Add to that the following injured guys who have not been practicing and are virtually certain not to participate Sunday: LaRon Landry, Anthony Montgomery, H.B. Blades, Erasmus James, the rookie WRs (Anthony Mix, Billy McMullen -- more on his knee problem below) and Rian Wallace.
Starters Santana Moss and Antwaan Randle El will play only a series or so. The same goes for James Thrash and, with the rookies out, it's slim pickings. Zorn said he'll manage to get by since he has four TEs here -- he'll spread them out wide -- but the lack of wideouts will limit formations to base stuff.
I read LaDell Betts is not playing either.

more from the wash post on ht skins:
while the starters who do take part will do so for only a series or two on offense (the defense will rest most of its starters entirely).
still waiting on QB rotations/ playing time

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP)—The Indianapolis Colts will be without 14 players when they face Washington in Sunday night’s Hall of Fame Game.
Among those not scheduled to make the trip are two-time league MVP Peyton Manning, record-setting receiver Marvin Harrison, 2007 defensive player of the year Bob Sanders, former league sacks champion Dwight Freeney and linebacker Philip Wheeler, a third-round draft pick who is scheduled to have knee surgery.
Wheeler injured his knee earlier this week, then continued to practice. Coach Tony Dungy expects Wheeler to miss at least a couple of weeks.
The Colts also will be without defensive back Michael Coe, a second-year player who injured his knee in Friday afternoon’s practice. Dungy did not give a timetable for Coe’s return and said he may need surgery.
“It’s not going to be anything where he’ll be back in the next couple of weeks,” Dungy said Saturday morning before the team left for Canton.
Indy also re-signed kicker Adam Crossett, who was waived July 25, to help Adam Vinatieri rest his right leg, and waived guard Tala Esera.

I will relay the general feeling I have, which was confirmed by many people in the know and those who have watched from Camp Day 1: This team is very, very, VERY deep. There will be some tough decisions when they need to cut down to 53, and some good players might get shown the door because there isn't enough room on this talented roster.
