Well i take that back, there's just one thing that convinces me that the Panthers could beat the Bucs tonight and that's the fact that the Monday Night home teams have been doing well this year (for some reason) but that reason isn't good enough tonight against the Bucs.

Not sold on the Panthers and I think they peaked last week @ GB with that lucky win. The Panthers have struggled against better teams and their losses have all come fairly convincingly to those same good teams - look @ their record. No Stewart for Carolina leaves them with only Williams as a viable threat - Tampa's defense will be ready. Tampa's defense, just like in the first matchup, is designed to apply maximum pressure on the passer and force bad decisions and subsequent poor throws. I don't think Kiffin is going to let S. Smith single-handedly beat his secondary and will have a schematic advantage against a relatively one dimensional Pathers passing attack. Bucs have enough weapons, even w/out Graham, to move the chains & I have to think that Garcia's escapability and ability to complete important throws i.e. 3rd down will be the difference. Field position will be critical as neither team is overly potent on offense & I feel very confident that the Bucs win this battle; the coaching staff will put added emphasis on the importance of Garcia (especially) and all the skill position players protecting the football. Delhomme throws at least 1 INT and the Bucs defense will force at least 2 turnovers - this combined with 3rd down efficiency (or lack thereof) will be the difference in this game and I think results in a final score somewhere in the neighborhood of:
BUCS: 23
