Drew Brees = What? 
The guy chokes when it's on the line just like Rivers has and always will. When it gets to this level, the guy doesn't have the skills or charter to lead his team to a championship. It will NEVER happen in NO so long as they have Brees as their fearful leader.

Farve = Proven, time-tested champion holding virtually every QB record there is to hold save for being (I believe it will be the only) QB to win two superbowls with two diff teams and will he also set the record as the oldest QB to win a super as well?
You don't think the NFL has some vested interest in seeing this play out for Farve like a story book?

Furthermore, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the matchup be Vikings vs. Jets with Farve knowing their offense and defense inside and out - kinda like that lopsided Tampa Bay / Oakland game when Gruden left.

This will be a great game.  I'm a big Viking's fan,however, I'm also a Saints fan.  So if the Saints win I will be rooting for them to win it all.  I knew the Vikings would roll the Cowboys on Sunday, felt extremely confident in them stomping the boys.  This week I'm not as confident.  I don't think the noise will be as big a factor as some Saints fans want to believe.  I mean, when the Vikes went to GB they played fantastic even though you couldn't hear anything but boo's and other nonsense.  But I do believe Brees will make a big difference, the man's is a stud.  Hopefully Favre and co. can win.  Either way it should be a great game.

BS!!!!!!! the cowgirls was still excited about beating the eagles 2 times but that is over now farve has to go on the road and we all know what that means they only win at home this is a different SAINTS team everybody is healthy LIKE I SAID FARVE for at least 2 or 3 picks to darren sharper

No offense cause NO certainly went thru a lot with Katrina, but that's no longer news and having a QB like Farve hold a record that has never been held and prob will never be again is quite a bit more for the NFL to hang their hat on than a story that most of America has long since put behind them. Not to mention, Farve and the NFL had a plan to get him where he is and with his competiveness being what it is, these records are the only reason he's still playing. It's not b/c he loves football or the Vikings or the fans, it's b/c he wants to be considered the undisputed greatest QB EVER. And once he sets at least two more records, it's going to be nearly impossible for anyone to ever surpass his accomplishments.

This game has NOTHING to do with Katrina.  That was 5 years ago for crying the fuck out loud! 

It's simply about who has the better team.  Saints rested many of their starters down the stretch, especially on defense, and now their back.  They'll harass ol' fart Favre just like they did ol' fart Warner.  It's Brees turn.  Saints offense had their way with the Vikings defense just last year...WITHOUT Shockey or Colston.  Fluky turnovers won't save the Vikings this year.  Saints at home >>>>>Vikings.

did mnfloser just say the vikings have superior pass d to the saints? I'm not saying the saints have a good secondary but wow, what have you been watching? the dline is great but if they can't apply pressure constantly the secondary will get killed. Cutler had his best game of the season against the vikings. The cardinals also gave them a nice beating spreading out their wrs. Saints are more than capable of spreading their receivers out and chip blocks to slow allen down. Also Lance moore looks better and he could be a factor this week. saintsss by 14

This just an insane post ndame1. With a less than average D and "no real running game", (it is just the way Sean P. schemes his offense btw) the bulk of the offensive production comes off the arm of one of the most accurate passers of the season. Not some baby like Phumblin' Phil. Ever see him leading a f*$@ing marine chant he learned in Gitmo in a pre-game? Not a solid leader? Wow.  Check the #'s for the season. The only thing they have in common is the Bolts. This is going to be a great game that will be won or lost in the trenches, special teams and t-o's. Peroid. And whoever posted the total crap about Farve and the records, HA!!! Come On people!! If he could play linebacker physically next year, he would. He freakin' loves the game and winning it. And really there probably isn't any word around the Farve camp except, "WIN!"  Really. I would strap myself, two kittens and a baby to a bridge in Nawlins' just before Katrina just for tickets to The Super Bowl! And you are saying he will be conflicted??? Yea i'm a fan of Farve, of football, Drew Brees, Vikings and Saints but throw all that storyline BS out the freakin' window after setting it on fire! Oh, and there is a huge difference between an open stadium and a dome. Especially The Superdome. Noise will be a factor unless the crowd is taken out early. Classic battle either way.
