The basic misconception is that 'cause you're ranked such and such, means you're gonna play such and such.
They're playing the Colts. Take the stats at the end of this game, see where that would rank you.
I hope Revis is'nt a hero. Other than that, I think Peyton's in a good place. (no pun intended). Good luck trying to stop that guy; With Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne, Joseph Addai, Collie and Pierre. Mike Hart fills in admiringly. Who'd I forget?
They haven't played flawless football all year, the Jets game comes to mind. there were a few dropped passes. The Colts Know what they want. They just have to make the plays.

(Saints -4 vs Vikings)
The Saints looked bad down the stretch losing their final 3 games of the regular season. The Saints definitely have the offense to stick with anyone but their defense isnt what it should be & im wondering if they can stop Minnesota's run game. It seemed that the Saints finally were healthy vs Arizona but Arizona's defense wasnt stopping anyone anytime soon. Shockey limped off the field last week & I consider him a big part of the Saints arsenal. The Vikings defense went after Romo with a vengeance & Romo made alot of mistakes causing the Vikings to get a short field on offense & scoring at will. Dallas had the better defense entering the game but when your offense becomes a siv, its hard to win the game. Once the game becomes one sided, its difficult to do anything. The Saints played a tired Arizona team with no defense what so ever. The Vikings played an over hyped Dallas team, so what gives in this upcoming game? Favre vs Brees (advantage Favre), Saints defense vs Vikings defense (advantage Vikings), Saints offense vs Vikings offense (advantage Saints), Saints coach vs Vikings coach (advantage none). This is probably Favre's ;ast season , LMAO (did I just say that) & if he wins one last super bowl, im sure he will retire. Colts vs Saints or Colts vs Vikings, hmm.....im going with a Colts vs Saints super bowl. I see the Saints beating the Vikings in a hard fought game. Saints win 23-17
Din't Sean Payton just play in the NFC championship game, and what is Brad's winning pct in the playoffs. I don't know much about him, but someone pleas let me know more about the guy. He obviously has done something, please enlighten me.

Hey Primetime, just saw both of your scores and the both point to the unders. I have a thread that show in the last 10 Conference Championships, the over is 8-1-1. I don't know if it means anything but that is what I came up with. ![]()

I saw your thread & very interesting. I really feel atleast one of these games will go under, if not both, altho both games are being played in a dome which can mean alot of scoring. Good luck to you either way! ![]()

Official Plays:
After further analysis of the Colts/Jets game, ive decided its either a Jets play or no play. The Colts did allow the Jets to limp into the playoffs & the Jets are making everyone pay for it. These Jets kind of remind me of the Giants a few years back. The difference is how will a rookie qb & coach beat the Colts. The Colts also have a rookie coach. The Jets are the hottest team as of now & are playing with hunger for the trophy as they beat the hottest team in football, the Chargers. Its going to be interesting to see the Jets trying to contain Manning. Ive been hearing people say the Bengals were over rated & I believe they were, but I have to say the Ravens were one of the most over rated teams in the playoffs. The Colts will make mistakes & when you do that against the #1 defense, you will not win. I did have a lean on the Colts earlier in the week but I have a change of heart. Take Jets +7.5 & ML. Jets 20 Colts 17
Staying with the Saints -3.5

Lets start
with how well the supposedly rusty Colts played vs the Ravens. Manning didnt
miss a beat & the Colts defense stopped Flacco & company cold in their
tracks.
Did
you watch the same game as me? If so, you would no that aside from a 2-minute
break down at the end of the first half this game was anyone’s game. In fact
the Colts outgained the Ravens by just 5 TOTAL Yards on offense!!!
Also,
Manning did miss a beat. Both QB’s looked off their game and if you do recall
Manning threw 2 picks! One was called back and the other was returned to the
Colts 27 yard line and fumbled. Most likely the Ravens would have scored points
on the Ed Reeds INT return had he not fumbled it back. You are crazy if you
think the Colts offense looked great. Based on last weeks performance of the
Colts offense I would stay away. The game easily could have ended 20-17 had the
Ravens not been so unfortunate.

The Colts
have to prove to the world that their coach isnt a dummy for sitting the players
& a super bowl trip would solidify that the coach knew exactly what he was
doing in weeks 16 & 17.
Anyone
who listens and believes in this type of fluff is an idiot. How is proving that
your coach isn’t a dummy (to the world, lol) for resting the starters going to
make them play better? I mean seriously, what does that even mean?
Trust
me I hated myself for falling into the trap against the Jets last week. The
Jets really aren’t a great team but either were the Giants in 2007. It comes
down momentum and right now the Jets have it all. It really pains me to say it
but I think the Jets will keep this one close but I’m much more confident that
the Jets will cover the spread than the Colts winning the game outright.
Trust me, if you paid any attention to
the rhythm or the stats of the matchup between Indi and Balt you would have
seen how defensive it was. Both teams had below average offensive numbers
(Colts total offense 275, Baltimore total offense 270). Low scoring games with
high spreads mathematically give the Underdog a better percentage of winning.
Not saying I’m confident on how many points will be scored but the line is at a
measly 39 for some reason.
Last thought, since week 10 the Colts have been outgained by all their opponents except Jacksonville and Baltimore. Peyton Manning isn’t exactly lighting the world on fire! This is the number 1 pass defense and number 1 defense in total points allowed. The Chargers were arguably the hottest team in the league going into the post season. They failed to score above the Jets season average of points allowed (14.8 yards per game). So before you pull the trigger on what looks like a sure thing, do your homework.
