my early take on oakland at denver discussion-----------------------------

denver gives 10 to oakland playing at oakland. final- denver 26 oakland 13.

denver gives 6.5 to oakland playing at denver. final- denver 37 oakland 6.

denver's team is a hell of a lot more potent this year and laying 15.5 as of now. oakland didnt do anything to improve and lets face it they got terrel pryor starting?? this dude is borderline mediocre. i would feel comfortable laying 21 on this game. i see no mercy in a divisional game and think the final will look something like denver 42 oakland 13. is it this easy? no. but its either denver or no play. discuss

Granted, Denver pounded Oakland last year at Mile High and Broncos' offense looked explosive by beating a team next to last in defensive category, San Diego. Denver also pounded NY Giants who have their own problems in defense and turnovers, G-men also can't run the ball. To lay over 2 TDs to a divisional rival seems tough to me. And Raiders do run the ball well, they also beat Colts in Indy which was a surprise to me.

Denver can knock out teams and put up points so freaking fast and so easily. Hard to go against them especially at home.

never bet against peyton. he understands there is no such thing as running up a score until you are up 4 possessions, he will keep scoring even if they are up 20 pts until the game is over.

i learned this the hard way last season but have used it well for this season.

Only thing that scares me is Pro Bowler Clady (left tackle) is out for Broncos. This will hurt them a lot.

Denver Broncos win but they wont cover.  If I was not a Broncos fan, I would take Oakland &#x2B;15.  Raiders have a serviceable defense...but what stands out is their ground game.  Power running scheme with a QB and RB that keep it on the ground playing ball control.   How di you beat Denver?  You keep the ball out of Peyton Mannings hands.  Prepare for a low scoring Time of Possession type of game.

You bet Denver -15 or more...you are falling into media hype.  I love my Broncos...but they will play ball control when they&#39;re up by 7&#x2B;  Add in loss of Clady...and you are going to see a more down to earth game for their offense.  Objective for John Fox is to win....not clobber other teams by 14&#x2B; points.  They only do that to teams who can score at will...Ravens and Giants are in that category...not the Raiders.

I would argue that Pryor is much better than Palmer.  Pryor has only had 3 starts in his career, he is improving each week.  Denver should win, but I wouldn&#x27;t use "Pryor is borderline mediocre" as a starting point.  The Raiders play with fire when he starts, they really "get up" for Pryor.

pryor has 2 starts.  his stats go-- 34/53,  343 yards,  1td,  2int.  his second week he actually took a step back if you read the stats.  i think borderline mediocre is generous.  i will give him credit for running a total of 162 yards in those 2 games but denver&#x27;s defense  has the speed to contain that.

first off, this is week 3 so pryor has 2 starts not 3.

second, you say he is improving every week? i bring up stats cause week 2 he went 15/24 -- 126 yards -- no tds. so he did not improve week 2, he got worse.

third, saying theres more to capping than just reading stats is purely ridiculous. obviously you dont cap that way

Pryor has one start from the 2012 season, so for his career he has 3 starts.
