If anyone would like to add counter arguments, please do. I'll take a stab at it myself first though. Chicago has the #1 scoring D in the NFL!!! They only allow 14.2 points per game! They also have the most interceptions per game this season which have been a bit of a problem for stafford, could be a drive killer (although a pick 6 would be nice). They also have the most sacks per game at 3.6 (although Detroit has been good about keeping Stafford upright 6th least sacks allowed despite 2nd most pass attempts). On Monday Night Soldier Field will be rocking! Will certainly not be easy to mount a comeback in that environment. Chicago has only given up 13.5 points per game at home, and 3.5 in the 4th quarter at home this season, good for 2nd and 6th respectively amongst NFL ranks. They also have gotten 4.5 sacks per game at soldier, most in NFL. They also allow the lowest passing completion at home, only 51.25%. To be fair and put into perspective they have only faced Bradford and Luck at home. They also control the clock both home and away 3rd most time of possession in NFL 33:48, while only 18th in the league in plays run. Wouldn't be surprised to see them make an extra effort to keep Stafford and Megatron off the field especially late in the game.

come on man really? I have been here for 8 years, I have not posted consistently, but if you go through my posting history you will see for the most part my goal is simply to win money, and give others knowledge which they can use or ignore to help be more informed about their plays. I don't know why I even took the time to respond to such nonsense, but if you think I work for the books and the under is the play then you should bet it.

If you're from Michigan than you know all about it gollum. Just think if they didn't sleep for the first three qtrs. They got off to some good starts last year. I don't get it, man. They can score with anyone in the 4th though!

You are right they scored much easier early in the game last year. But they still did this late comeback shit quite a bit too. Came back late to beat the cowboys, panthers, vikings, and raiders. Don't know if it is the early play calling and this team doesn't get going till its no hurdle or what. The 50 1-3 qt points to 76 in the 4th this season is really beyond any rational explanation though.

FYI its NOT a good idea to bet a 2nd , 3rd or 4th qtr before the game starts. so many things can change how teams play the last 15 min..Just some good advice for you..GL..

generally I would agree with you. My thinking here is that the lions have a pattern of getting down and turning it on in the 4th, and even if they don't get down, I think it will be a back and forth type 4th quarter. Only way I will wish I hadn't made this bet after 3 is if the lions are up by 2 scores or more and I don't see that happening. Obviously anything could happen in the first 45, but either way I'm expecting some Monday Night fireworks late in this one.

Wat happens if Stafford / Cutler get hurt or another key player? The bet may be good but i cant bet it early without seeing the flow of the game.
If Stafford got hurt Hill is more than capable of leading a drive (threw for 2 Tds in the last 18 seconds against Tennessee). Jason Campbell is also an above average backup IMO. If Calvin or Marshall got hurt I would be much more nervous, but can't you say the same thing about betting a full game over? If someone gets hurt your not liking your chances as much whether you bet 4th quarter or game. Unless someone is specifically injury prone or banged up coming into the game I've never let potential injuries influence my capping of a game.
