Word is Moss didn't even take the team flight back home. I was on record liking the trade, but I can't blame them for waiving him. They made their own bed, but I'm glad they didn't box out and let him do whatever he wanted.

childress is gone this. year. he put all his eggs in b. farves basket. its like this guy cant coach unless he had brett on his team. i mean how desperate was that guy last summer, flying 3 guys on the team to go get him off his farm. you cannot question farve's fire to play the game but after yesterday you gotta feel he knows he made the wrong decision to come back.

Moss isn't the problem with the Vikongs! The had Moss, Harvin, Berrain and Peterson. They couldn't put 35 on the Pats! The Bills put more points up against the Pats did they not. Childress wouldn't let the offense loose. He is a terrible coach he has to go bring in Gruden please.

When you have a quarterback that cant move around, it is very difficult to have enough time to sit back there and throw the ball deep. That is what made Brady to Moss such an incredible combination was the fact that the Patriots offensive line was among the best in the league, and they still are. Now the Vikings offensive line is decent, but when the quarterback is a gunslinger who doesnt know the meaning of receiver progression, you will never have the time to let Randy get open.
I think Randy always wanted to play with Brett because he knew Brett was a gunslinger who would throw him the ball whenever danger was near (kind of like Cunningham and Culpepper in his early days). However what Randy failed to realize is that this is not Brett Favre of 2001, this is Brett Favre of 2010. He was hurt going into the season, he was hurt when the Vikings signed Moss, and he was really hurt going up against the Patriots.
When Randy saw how methodical and put together the Patriots were yesterday just a few weeks after letting him go...it hit him. It made him realize that he had a damn good thing going and let his ego get in the way and asked for more money thinking that it was his "safety stretching" abilities that led the Pats to be successful.
Sadly Randy, the Pats are successful because they are a "system" team. You were a toy to them. Someone Brady could have fun with every now and then when he wanted to show off his arm. It was a blast, but in the end you fall in the same category as Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocinco, and every other egomaniac receiver.

Vikes never should have begged Favre's penis to come back. They should have moved on, installed Tavaris Jackson, move him around and out of the pocket, let AP run wild. They would have a chance to make the playoffs. Now they are a shambles with a decrepit QB and a coach who has no idea what his teams identity needs to be for them to start winning games...
