WEEK 3

Was going to take the Panthers, but they are favorites now...so here are my picks;

Vikings +160 - I think the Vikings will be able to run with AP and be able to shut down the Jets running game forcing Sanchez to win this game...he has been playing well the last couple of games, but I think when his running game gets shut down it will be tough for him to pull out the win without the help of his running game.  Favre to Moss and the victory!

Eagles +155 - a couple of injuries has me scared in this game, but McCoy is going to play and I think this game is going to come down to coaching...and this is a mismatch with Reid vs Singletary.  The 49ers still cannot move the ball on offense and there slide will continue.

Clevelan +140 - Atlanta has been lucky to get the W the last couple of weeks vs NO and SF...their luck will run out this week and they will get caught napping against an improved Browns team.  They will rely on an improved running game with Peyton Hillis and control the clock and they will pull out a win in a tight game.

WEEK 5 Results 1-2 , down $45

Cleveland VS ATL -100 - I was betting on Seneca Wallace not Jake Delhomme!  Delhomme is a turnover waiting to happen.

Minny VS NYJ -100 - too little too late from Favre and his TOs cost the Vikings the win.

Philly VS SF +155 - Injuries to Philly and preseason hype made SF the favorites in this one.  I jumped all over this when I saw a winless team as a favorite VS a playoff contender.

 8-7 overall, +$665

 Not a terrible week at 1-2, but felt that way with all of the dogs winning outright.  Dogs were 10-4 straight up last week. 

Don't be the "public" and get away from the favorites and get on my dog-wagon!

WEEK 6 Picks

Oakland +220 - It is tough to take the Raiders...as they are the Raiders afterall and SF is due to win sooner or later...but getting a line like this vs an 0-5 team is too tempting to pass up upon.  Kinda of feels like a suckers bet, but the 49ers are in turmoil right now and the Raiders are starting to believe in themselves and they can control the game with the running game.  Also, for whatever reason, when Bruce G is in control of the Raiders' offense they always seem to be in the game, he may not be pretty but he is a winner.

Denver +165 - was hoping to get a little more juice in this matchup, as the NYJ have been a popular public play all year.  Jets are on a short week and are up against a competitive Broncos team that always play well at home.   Orton has been putting up big numbers, even against strong defensives like the Ravens and they pull out a close victory here by forcing a couple of turnovers by Sanchez.

Jacksonville +120 - battle of division leaders in the South (I know all teams are 3-2!) and the Jags seem to be getting the least amount of respect.  They have looked good this year when Garrard protects the ball.  In a battle of two of the games top backs, I will take the home team and the juice in this one.

Looking for another attack on the books!

WEEK 6 Results

It was a tough week for the Moose, going 0-3, -300, but this will happen from time to time when playing ML, just gotta keep a level head and get back at it.  Overall up +365 on the year and I look to build on that in Week 7. 

Typically I find ML plays easier in the early part of the year, as the public gets on the popular teams and there are more "sleepers" and you can get rewarded for your off-season homework!  In the middle of the year, the books catch up and the lines get tougher, but they are still plenty of ML plays out there and hopefully I can find 3 this week. 

More detailed results will be posted later this week, as well as my week 7 picks.

WEEK 7 PICKS

PHILLY +130 - Eagles are without their explosive threat, WR Jackson, but they have plenty of weapons and their offense is clicking right now.  Not to be overlooked, is the improved play of their D which will be the main difference in this game as I see them forcing a few turnovers vs whoever plays QB for the Titans.  Eagles have a bye next week and will be focused on this game, the Titans may still be patting themselves on the back after embarassing the Jags on Monday night.

WASHINGTON +130 - not a fan of Jay Cutler, never have been, never will be  - career loser.  The Bears cant run the ball or protect Cutler, the Skins D will expose this and McNabb will manage the offense and find a way to win.  The Skins seem to be in every game, it may not be pretty, but they will find a way to win this one of the road.

JACKSONVILLE +335 - I know the Jags will be starting their 3rd string QB (he has been around for a while and is not some rookie, I don't think he will lose the game for them) and they looked terrible on Monday night, but I do not believe that they are that bad of a team.  They are 3-3 (they have gotten blown out in all of their loses) and I do believe the Chiefs are an improved team, but getting this kind of juice is too hard to resist.  I think the Jags will be in the game, the Chiefs offense will not pull away and the Jags could be a turnover away from the win - so with this juice I have to take the Jags!

WEEK 7 RESULTS

1-2 -$70, +$295 overall

Philly - 100 - looked good unti half time and until Kenny Britt ran wild and they forgot to cover him.

Washington +130 - in one of the ugliest games I have watched in a while, the Skins came out on top and my thoughts on Jay Culter were proven.  Maybe one day he will respect DeAngelo Hall - 4 pics and a pic-6 weren't enough.

Jacksonville -100 - were in the game until half time and then the wheels fell off.  Maybe this team is as bad as everyone thinks they are, I didn't believe it, but they can look really bad some time, but I still think they have a few upsets in them.

Looking to get back on the winning track this week, still in the black overall, so no time to panic - time to pic some winners - Week 8 pics will be posted shortly.

WEEK 8 PICKS

MIAMI +105 - Bengals seem to find a way to lose games and the Dolphins find a way to be competitive in every game they are in.  They got robbed last week against the Steelers and they will take out thier anger on the helpless Bengals.  This is afterall...the Bengals, they have found a way to lose for years, don't let one good year change who they are.

TAMPA BAY +150 - I am a believer in the Bucs, they have a young aggressive D, a decent running game and an emerging QB.  The Cards are playing an undrafted QB, they still have not found their running game and they are lucky to have 3 wins.  Their true colours will be shown in the next coming weeks and I am thrilled to get this much juice in this matchup.

BUFFALO +270 - I still don't know how the Bills blew that game last week - but hopefully they will learn from it.  But their offense is moving the ball and they are being competitive and I can see them pulling off an upset or two in the next couple of months.  This is a juicy line against a KC team that is still getting used to the role as a favorite and they could be due for a let down.

Time to have another week in the black!

WEEK 8 RESULTS

2-1 +155 on the week, +450 overall.

Its good to get back on the winning track, but it would of been nice to have the Bills pull out the victory and to have a perfect week - I have yet to have one yet this year,..many close calls.  I wont complain though, still up on the year and that's what matters. 

Miami +105 - this game played out just as I expected and the Dolphins were able to pull out a close victory.

Tampa Bay +150 - the Bucs are finding a way to win these days and I am a believer!  The comeback kids played with passion and pulled out the victory!

Buffalo -100 - the Bills found a way to lose another game, but they are being competitive and still showing up...only a matter of time before they pull off a win.

Been busy and I haven't had time to do a detailed update, but one will be coming soon.

WEEK 9 PICKS

BUFFALO +130 - the Bills have been in every game the last couple of weeks and should of won against two division leaders.  Jay Cutler and the Bears continue to find ways to lose games, so I will take the Bills and the points at home.

TAMPA BAY +345 - two 5-2 teams going head to head for the division lead, usually I would take the home team, but this is too much juice to pass up on and the Bucs keep fighting and find a way to be in every game - I believe in the Bucs and hopefully they will help me pay the bills!

DALLAS +280 - not a fan of the Cowboys and it makes me feel good to see them suffer...but a part of me thinks they are not this bad and that they have some pride and will come out fighting.  Jon Kitna moved the ball last week and if he can eliminate the turnovers the Cowboys will be in this game with a chance to win it.

WEEK 9 RESULTS 0-3 -$300  Overall +150

Disappointing week 9, I am embarrassed - but not as embarassed as the Cowboys should be...they should be ashamed of that effort- I thought they would have some pride and come out swinging, instead they curled up in a ball like the littel cowards they are!

The Bills were again close to pulling out their first win, but close doesn't count in ML.  I am sure the Bills will pull out a victory sooner or later, they are atleast competing, but there is a reason they are 0-8, they keep finding a way to lose.

The Bucs competed like I thought they would and if not for a goal line stand at the end of the game they might of pulled out a juicy win!

A lot of close calls this year, but still on the plus side and a few plays away from it being a great year.  Anything above even is my goal and I look to get back on the winning track this week -time to punish the books!
