pitt played imo 2 of the best defenses in the league, ravens and the jets.  atl's defense is a joke and a mirage through the year and chicago, please.  stats for gb and pitt are all very close.  the difference between these 2 teams...who would you rather bet on, a team with proven winners or the "up and comers"?  with a guy with 2 rings at the helm who somehow finds ways to win vs the guy in his 1st time super bowl appearance.  betting against polamalu, harrison, woodley?  really?...rodgers better not make any mistakes or this could be a beating the other way.  pitt should be able to run all day.  o-line is patchwork and they still get it done.  they'll run behind flozell repeatedly.

I love the under play.  I can't decide which side I like better, so I am just going to stick with that total play myself.  Just have to remember bigger game does not equal bigger bets.

Mice - to me any coach can win this game after i saw Tom Coughlin, yes Tom Coughlin beat Bill B

Watching Tom Coughlin over the years on the sideline at Giants stadium staring into the abyss about what went wrong is just priceless, and Paulie from the bronx telling me during his early years , "this guy , this coughlin , he ain't never going to take the giants to the promised land " and for the first 3 years and 12 games or so he looke dead on , then Coughlin delivered his team to the promised land !!!

McCarthy > Coughlin

Bill B > Tomlin

That's the way i see it Mice , IF Coughlin can beat Bill B in this game McCarthy can definitly beat Tomlin, doesn't mean he will ,but i know he can

Steelers have covered 9 last 10 playoff games. Theyve covered 8 last 10 times as dogs. Theyve won outright 7 last 8 road Games. I will take Tomlin and LeBeau with the 25 guys you can have McCarthy and Capers with the 2. How many threads started in Covers Forum this season about McCarthy being ass and his play calling?
GB ranked #18 vs run this year allowing 115 ypg. and 4.7 per carry. Pitts ran 166 vs Jets and avg 120 per game.  And with Pouncey out look for Rashard Mendenhall heavy "right" plays behind Flozell Adams--Pitt avg 5.9 yds/carry behind him this season. And Steelers of course #1 rush D allowed 68 ypg and in Playoffs Jets and Ravens COMBINED only 105 yds on 40 carries. Both with better run games than Pack. No sparks for Starks.
Yeah I know this is where everyone says Mr Rodgers to the rescue. One jackass here even says he "lights them up like XMas trees".  Yep thats the heart talking.  #2 Pass D in league. 35 forced TOs. Sure Packs going score some pts but Rodgers is going to take some whacks here. Maybe even some cheap ones. And hes shown hes not as effective when hes getting whacked. Farrior--Harrison--Woodley--Hampton--Keisel--Troy--somebodys going to whack him. Ive said it in other threads--aside from his opening drive in Chicago--13-26 for 168 yds and 2 INTs and a big 3-and-out with 4 mins left kept Bears in a Game that shouldve been long over. 
I will stick with the big slow clutch QB thats proven hes tough enough and smart enough to win and can make the big plays when he has to. Maybe off field hes piece of shit but hes winner on. You can have the mobile flashy guy. Ill take the winner. 24-17

pitt faced only 2 significant pass teams this year, new orleans and new england, lost to both by double digits, pitt secondary is weak and itll show.... also ben "big game" persona is way overhyped, the guy simply does not play well in big games, atleast not for 60mins, he does however make big plays when needed..... this SB tho, he wil be facing a much better oppponent than previous 2 and he will need to be "big" for all 60mins, something hes never done.... ill take the "real" qb in this game, gb wins by double digits
